Some programs let yoy choose your own classes but I believe most don't please shed some light. Does your school pick the classes for you?

pre reqs i picked, nursing the first two semesters all 65 of us were in the same class so there was no choice. this semester we are being broken up into 4 groups for specialties: peds, OB, psych, and geriatric. we didnt get o pick which specialty wed be starting in but we had the choice to email someone requesting who youd like to be in class with (other classmates).
I didnt send any email, i didnt really care who i got thrown in with. but anyway, that was the closest thing we had to choosing a class, and we werent even garanteed to get a class with the people you picked anyway, they said theyd do their best.
in regards to teachers, we will all have the same ones, just at different times, so no use picking a teacher anyway for us.
OK I understand that's really helpful

Nope! We are assigned classes and profs. We start next week and I still don't know which profs I'll have. Hopefully, they will post something on Blackboard, but as of yesterday, there's nothing up, yet.

In Nursing school, not your pre req classes, usually the school gives you a schedule. You have no say, usually, aside from "day or night" program, IF your college offers it.

We had a choice between two schedule options and within those options, there were two classes that had multiple sections that we could chose from so we had some choice but not very much. Mostly our choice came down to having our long days on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I see I don't think my school is like that it's just 10 clinical classes and 10 non clinical classes I don't know about clinicals but I think I might have a choice who I can.pick for noñclinical classes

In my ASN program the courses are only offered once a semester, by one instructor. You don't get a choice because there isn't one: I'm the only one that teaches math and assessment.

When I was in Early Childhood, I got to pick all of the classes I wanted to take. When I switched over to Practical Nursing, my school took over from there. I'd go to register, and I was told the classes I had left to take and what I'd be taking. I didn't mind, since my pre-req list was quite short. There wasn't a lot to really choose from anyways. My college also lays out a schedule for once you're accepted into the Nursing Program. There is a set route for my school's LPN Program. I'm not going to complain, I figure they have it set a certain way for a reason.
