Calling for CPNE date

Hey guys...how soon should I start calling for a CPNE date. I applied to all the hospitals in the MPAC region, just cause I wanna get this dude done. I really want Mansfield so I can drive but hey...I ain't picky at this point! My application was accepted about June 6th. Thanks, Melissa:zzzzz

haha

I would at least give it a month.

But I guess there really is no set time frame.

You must be already prepared for the CPNE! My application was accepted around the same time, but I'm trying to organize my studying first and make sure that I've practice and studies and is confident with all of my Lab simulations and PCS before I call about my CPNE date or a cancellation date. I want it to be done and over with too, but don't want to rush into something and not be fully prepared for it. I've chosen MPAC region also, but is hoping to get the Madison St. Mary's site, since I've heard so many wonderful things about that facility. Good luck to you!

I applied to MPAC the second week of April, got a reply the third week of May, testing August 7-9 in Madison, WI

Wow! That was fast! Are you taking a workshop to prepare? I'm hoping to get a testing site in Madison also, since I've heard so many good things about both sites. Good luck to you!

I thought it was fast too. I was pretty shocked, actually. I am going to Tina's workshop in San Jose in July. Good luck to you too!

I know a lot of people who have taken Tina's workshop, and they adore her. :) She's such a nice person -- she and I exchanged a few emails because we were on the same YahooGroup email list, and she emailed me about something off-list. People swear by her workshop -- I think it's longer than anyone else's, at 5 days. (Although the Chancellor's one might be 5 days, too.) In any case, good luck! That is fast to get a date. I think EC is working hard to make the wait shorter by opening more sites. I applied for Mansfield only (it was within driving distance for me, about 6 hours) on November 6, 2007 and didn't even get my date until April 4, 2008, and I tested June 13-15th, 2008. I wasn't on a cancellation list or anything, though -- didn't want to be!

How many CPNE sites are there and where are their locations? Also, I would like to have the info on the workshops too and the locations where they are? Or is there a website with all of this information? :D Thanks!!!

damn that york, pa site. LOL

I applied in April got my date last week - last weekend in Aug at the MPAC - Racine site! I changed to October for preparedness reasons. :yeah:

Hi,

I applied to one specific site and it was taking forever to get a date. At the workshop I just took, they recommended opening my options up to ANY site in the NPAC region, which I did. Lo and behold, they called me the very next day with a choice of four test dates!!! So originally I was going to wait until September, and now I have a date for July 15-17 in Albany. Maybe you will have the same good luck as me!

It is amazing how some people get a date immediately and others have a long wait. Good luck to everyone with dates coming up soon.
