buzz cuts

I'm going to be starting nursing school soon, and was wondering if buzz cuts were ok for male nurses? May sound like a silly question, but I'm worried about that.

They're fine, if you mean a crew cut. I wouldn't shave a thunderbolt into it or anything, though.

:rckn:

I am starting a CNA program in a couple of weeks and will probably get my hair done like that. I wore it like that for 6 years in the Army. Until last year I wore my hair down to my waist. Then I got a job that madated a shorter cut as part of their dress code.

I wear my hair a bit shorter than you pictured. No complaints yet.

I'm in nursing school, and the first thing that the instructors always say is that "everyday is like an interview" because they're always looking at how "professional" you're looking to represent the school that you're in.

But, I've seen girls wear earrings, long hair, some don't even cover their tattoos, and they still get through the program just fine.

I have a crew cut, and since day one, none of the professors had said anything about it. I just think that it all depends on how well you do in clinical.

I believe style really doesn't matter, just as long as a person is neat and professional looking. ^_^

I wore a crew cut for years, and then decided to grow mine out just a little bit and had some bangs. I recently went back to a crew cut. I was doing clinicals in a LTC facility, where it stayed hot. I am a big guy anyway, and we had to wear t-shirts under our scrubs, so I was sweating a lot. My hair stayed soaked all day and I felt uncomfortable and looked horrible. I went back to the crew cut. I still sweat a lot, but my hair didn't stay soaked and plastered to my head all day. It is just a nice, low maintenance style that looks very neat and professional in my opinion.

Well glad to know that's no problem. I'm either going to go with a crew cut or keep the high and tight I have now.

i go nuts over men w/buzz cuts.:redbeathe

i also went nuts when my teen son decided to grow his hair long.

i ended up paying him darned good money to get a buzz cut and keep it that way.

life is good now.:)

Buzz cuts are good.

Im a baldie {some people say I resemble Chris Daughtry from group Daughtry}-- so I shave my head every 2 days...is that ok for the Nursing floor? I have a nice shpaed head so...I don't look all crazy :lol2:...thank God! LOL!

They are fine. (and quite attractive IMO)
