Brookhaven Fall 2019

We do not have so many people in this forum.Last semester we had lots and lots.Does it mean that not so many people applied this time? Friday where are you????

I’d just assume not as many people searched for a forum with fellow applicants (aka the competition ?).

This doesn't really pertain to this thread other than I mentioned my intent to apply at Collin County's nursing program as well. I just realized all of the test slots for the PSB are taken and it is required to apply. It does not appear there's a way around this -- it looks like the Collin website says you can't take it anywhere else either. Why does every school require a different test? It's very frustrating! I had to take the TEAS for North Carolina; I had to take the HESI A2 for Brookhaven and Collin County requires the PSB. Damn. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if there are any other options. It is substantially cheaper for me than Brookhaven (not to mention I may not get in to Brookhaven) so I really liked having another option.

Call and see if there were any cancellations or somebody decided not to pay at the last minute. That's what happened to me at MVC. I needed to get my test done and I was able to pay on the LAST DAY that the HESI was given before the deadline so try that and see what happens. *fingers crossed* Hope this helps!

I know there were people last semester who applied with 34 points and didn't get an interview invite, so that makes me super nervous! Good luck everyone!

It’s hard to predict what the cutoff is for this application cycle because they removed the CT exam and changed the minimum points to apply

I won't be applying until the Fall because of my shots, but it makes me feel better knowing they removed the CT. That thing was awful

I think it’s good they’re not using the CT exam anymore but that docked me like 11 points so I’m super nervous

It docked everyone’s points, so don’t worry. We’re all in the same boat - remember, top 70 get interviews!

Does anybody know when fall/summer registration opens up? And which class was in your opinion harder, nursing pathophysiology or pharmacology? I know some of you guys took both even though the degree plan says one or the other is the option if you don't take it as a pre-Req

I took both online last semester. Pharmacology is way harder than pathophysiology. There’s a lot of information in pharm. Patho is a lot of definitions.

I’m super stressed about how the scheduling works for the nursing students... If I’m accepted, I’ll be working while going I school...I’m hoping both will work out ?

I have a friend currently in the program and she said that since it’s so fast-paced she can only work a maximum of 20 hours a week ? that’s what I’m worried about too!
