Brookhaven Fall 2019

Anyone applying for Fall 2019? I know it seems far away, but the application is due the end of Feb. It is best we begin to prepare now, especially those who need immunizations.

I need:

Critical thinking exam.

Retake Hesi for a higher competitive score.

Dosage calculations workshop.

I'm taking Chem 1405 and Phil 2306 this fall and Pharma in winter.

Where did you get yours done? I still need to get mine

Mine has expired. What else will we need to do? This will be a good way to pass the time! Let’s concentrate on what’s next.

I know the school offers a class for ~$65 but I’m debating whether or not to get it somewhere else? My local fire department offers classes sometimes.

  • I got mine in brookhaven.

After how long does it expire? Im not aware of this.

Did you like the class there?

I liked the class.Go for it.At least you will be sure you are getting what you need.Infact when registering for the class they had said its a whole day event but it took us just a few hours.

That’s good to know! I think I’ll wait to sign up for it until after the admission emails are sent....just in case ?

I got mine done at dallasCareerInstitute off royal and Greenville when I got my CNA done for $50. Brian is really good at it. Make sure you get he correct CPR for health professionals. Apparently there’s two types. Civilian and health professionals.

I had gotten my cpr for free through the district I teach at and when I did my CNA they wouldn’t accept it cause it was the cpr they teach basic people that are non health professionals

This doesn't really pertain to this thread other than I mentioned my intent to apply at Collin County's nursing program as well. I just realized all of the test slots for the PSB are taken and it is required to apply. It does not appear there's a way around this -- it looks like the Collin website says you can't take it anywhere else either. Why does every school require a different test? It's very frustrating! I had to take the TEAS for North Carolina; I had to take the HESI A2 for Brookhaven and Collin County requires the PSB. Damn. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if there are any other options. It is substantially cheaper for me than Brookhaven (not to mention I may not get in to Brookhaven) so I really liked having another option.
