Bridging Program in Australia

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

    I think you have to call/email AAON if you can make a change with your commencement schedule. When will your LOE expires?

    i did. but they told me that i can't change the date, unless it's visa related.

    the letter of offer expires on april 30.

    There is no visa as a 456 now as from 1st April.

    visitor visa subclass 600

    Your LOE from AHPRA will expire on April 30 yet you were given an offer for the june intake? I'm just curious :)

    anyway, one more question, will there be an additional fee for ahpra registration once you're done with the bridging program? (aside from the one that we paid to ahpra for assessment of documents prior to bridging..). and how much will that cost?

    To answer you first question. The cost would be, a rough estimate of a total of 850k? Let's say.. 500k for tuition, around 100k airfare (round ticket), 150k housing (2 months), and 100k for allowance. That's according to my friend. But for the allowance it will basically depend on you :)

    For the next question, I'm not sure if there is a fee for registration after BP. From what I know.. no fee :) Hope this helps :)
