Boston Direct Entry Program - Calling All Applicants!

Hello everyone - I just wanted to create a thread for those of us applying to direct entry programs in the Boston area to talk. Has anyone heard from any schools yet? Although I did not apply to Regis early decision (I am applying by the regular deadline), I know that they have likely already notified people - congrats to those who got in! I called Boston College a few days ago, and they said they are notifying people late February. I'm also applying to MGH, Northeastern and Simmons.

Good luck to everyone! :nurse:

I got a call 2 weeks ago saying that they are reviewing applications the first two weeks of feb and then will be alerting people of interviews. I haven't heard anything further from NU

Thank you everyone! It is very exciting to have some options and know I will be attending somewhere next year. It makes the waiting for the Boston schools a little easier. Good luck to everyone and hope you can relax a little as the wait continues.

@Nikki164: I do not know how large the peds class is. Thus far on the boards I have only come across a few other students accepted into the peds specialty but that may just be because only a few are on these boards or it may be because the program isn't that big. I am not sure which it is. I listed my stats below. I hope this helps. Good luck on whatever program you end up attending.

Undergrad GPA: 3.2 - BS in Chemical Engineering

I have a few years experience volunteering in a PICU, worked in a center for children with HIV/AIDS in Belize, spent a few months living and working at an Orphanage for children with HIV/AIDS in Cambodia, and worked in a cardiologist office.

Got an e-mail today for an interview for Northeastern's PNP program. The interview is next Friday, has anyone else heard?

nurse2011k: NO!!!!!!! I'm dying to find out! When did you submit your application? You're applying for the direct entry program, correct?

I submitted it probably a week before the posted due date, and yes the direct entry program. The e-mail was specific to PNP, so maybe others will be hearing soon.

just got a call- interviewing next Friday as well for the psych NP track!

NU just called, I have an interview scheduled for next Friday!

I applied for the PNP track.. still no phone call.. where do you live? I wonder what order they're calling people.

I just missed a call from NU... They didn't leave a message! I'm hoping it was to offer an interview. I called back but no one is answering

Ringside- I missed my call too... they called back about 10 minutes later so hang in there! or keep calling :)

They called me back at 4:30. Nerve racking afternoon! I have an interview next Friday. If anyone wants to meet up for lunch or coffee before or after their interview let me know.

:( No call... and the woman in the office, who I know is new, didn't seem to know the correct information. She said that interview selections are 6-8 weeks from the application deadline. I told her that I have heard that several people were already offered interviews and asked if they notified you according to specialty, and she just repeated the 6-8 weeks.

Does anyone know if they're finished yet??? I'm sad already...
