Boston Direct Entry Program - Calling All Applicants!

Hello everyone - I just wanted to create a thread for those of us applying to direct entry programs in the Boston area to talk. Has anyone heard from any schools yet? Although I did not apply to Regis early decision (I am applying by the regular deadline), I know that they have likely already notified people - congrats to those who got in! I called Boston College a few days ago, and they said they are notifying people late February. I'm also applying to MGH, Northeastern and Simmons.

Good luck to everyone! :nurse:

Just checking in again... still no word from BC for anyone? I am dying to know. Anyone know the entry stats of BC? Like how many people they admit to each specialty... The fact that they don't interview is nerve racking.

I also haven't received a call from NU - don't worry, there's still time! Does anyone know if they review apps in the order received (I submitted mine right on the deadline)? Also, are any of you guys who received interviews FNP applicants - it sounds like it has been psych and peds so far.

Good luck on your interviews!

Hi mamu2011!

Congrats on getting into both Regis and UMass! :)

I have an interview next week with UMass and was wondering if you had any advice you can offer? What kind of questions did the ask you and what was your specialty? Also, If you dont mind me asking, what were your GPA/GRE scores? UMass is my top choice and I really hope I can get in!

Haven't heard anything from bc yet. I want to call again but I don't want to be annoying. The wait is killer.

Nikki164, I would email a faculty member in the specialty that you applied to. That person can give you details for that department. You cam also try janet briand-mcgowan who is very responsive. Good luck!

Ringside - It was a personal email, with two attachments - one was a letter addressed to me with the acceptance, and the other was a reply form.

PsychMC - The deposit is $400, and is due March 4th.
