Boston Direct Entry Program - Calling All Applicants!

Hello everyone - I just wanted to create a thread for those of us applying to direct entry programs in the Boston area to talk. Has anyone heard from any schools yet? Although I did not apply to Regis early decision (I am applying by the regular deadline), I know that they have likely already notified people - congrats to those who got in! I called Boston College a few days ago, and they said they are notifying people late February. I'm also applying to MGH, Northeastern and Simmons.

Good luck to everyone! :nurse:

Hey all!

I applied early decision for Regis, and was placed on the wait list.

Has anyone gotten in, or know of anyone who was accepted from the wait list at Regis or any other school in the Boston area in past?

Or is anyone else out there on a wait list? Or are my chances pretty slim?

I'll be "waiting" to hear... :)

Hi,

Current Direct Entry Regis student (taking my RN boards in 2 weeks! yikes!!) here (I also applied to MGH, Northeastern, and BC when I was applying). I do know of people who got off the waitlist @ Regis. If you haven't heard from them by the end of the month and you're still interested in Regis I would give them a call and show them that you want it. They like that. The people I know who got in off the waitlist had called again about a month later. Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck to all! The wait is a killer I've been there!

Jennifer0521!

Thank you soo much for responding! That makes me feel a lot better! I flew out from California for the information session back in November...I used to live in Concord and I have relatives in the area, so Regis really feels like home.

I'll continue to keep my fingers and toes crossed!

Good luck on the boards in 2 weeks! I'm sure you'll do great!

I got an email from Columbia two days ago saying that they are in the final round of reviewing applications and I will hear back "shortly"!

did anyone apply to northeastern's program? when will will hear from them?

@lamounta: Columbia emails went out and decisions are up!

@nuesegradhopeful did you get in? I'm at work and too nervous to look!

Yes I was accepted to the program with the specialty of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Good luck!

Congratulations, NurseGrad! So exciting, it must feel great to have that under your belt. Hopefully the MA ones will come through as well!

nursegradhopeful: just curious, what were your stats? do you know how large the peds track was?

I was accepted to Columbia as well for the Women's Health specialty! Still anxiously waiting to hear from Boston College and MGH...

Congrats NurseGrad and SaraNH!!

From what I was told, interviews at NU were supposed to begin this week. I haven't heard anything on my end yet, has anyone else???
