  1. Has anyone been emailed their financial aid package yet?
  2. icontainmultitudes - MGH does not offer a BSN after you are finished with the RN portion. Just wanted to make sure you knew that since you're in the decision phase :)
  3. There are definitely signs everywhere and they make an announcement as the stop is approaching. On some of the new trains there is a light up sign that shows exactly where the train is....you'll be fine! I would grab a subway map just to have as a visual if it would make you feel better. See you Friday!
  4. Does anyone know when we should be hearing about our financial aid package? I'm sure we will find out during visiting day, but I'm curious nonetheless.
  5. Choco80 - AMEN! I'm actually leaning towards Columbia at this point and they have been so professional, considerate and organized during the entire process. We already have invitations to an accepted students day in a couple of weeks, information on orientation, including uniform and equipment ordering forms, etc. Anytime I have emailed them with questions, they answered within hours. I really couldn't be more impressed and it certainly soothes my "type A" self. All jokes aside, I think people should take more into consideration how they are being treated during the application process. Good luck again to everyone on their decisions!
  6. Mid-March for MGH?!? I must say, that is really annoying considering they originally were saying this week. A lot of deposits for other schools are due in March. I would think they would speed things up with the knowledge that most people who applied to their school need to make decisions with others within the next few weeks.
  7. Hi BuMan - The other thread was geared more towards BC applicants, but a lot have applied to MGH as well: https://allnurses.com/pre-nursing-student/boston-direct-entry-526638-page8.html
  8. Someone on another thread called the admissions office at MGH today and they are "tentatively" scheduled to send out letters via regular mail on February 16th!
  9. @WilliamsRower - thank you SO much for the information. It definitely sounds like the Upper West Side is the area to look in!!! If I choose Columbia, I would be moving with my boyfriend and we were even thinking a studio might not be a bad idea. Looking forward to meeting everyone on the 4th!
  10. Congratulations to those who got into BC!!! Does anyone know when we should expect to hear from MGH?
  11. Congratulations again to everyone that was accepted! For those of you who weren't, don't be discouraged. I would have never been able to guess at the beginning of the process which schools I would have been accepted/waitlisted/rejected from. It was a complete surprise to me, and I feel like there are people on this forum who were more than qualified for Columbia. Keep trying!!! I'm still waiting to hear from some schools in Boston, but Columbia is one of my top choices. If I choose Columbia, I will be moving from New Hampshire and I've never lived in a large city. What areas do people typically live in (that are safe)? What is the best resource to find an affordable apartment (if that even exists in NYC)? I will hopefully be making the trip down on March 4th, as well, and look forward to meeting those that can attend!
  12. I was accepted to Columbia as well for the Women's Health specialty! Still anxiously waiting to hear from Boston College and MGH...
  13. I got my email as well and I'm in :) Good luck everyone!
  14. Hey Everyone! I've applied to Direct Entry Master's programs at BC, MGH and Columbia and am also anxiously awaiting responses. It does appear that people started hearing around this time from BC last year. Hopefully we'll all hear some good news soon....good luck to all!!!
  15. I also applied to the Master's Entry program for the fall of 2011 and have not heard anything. According to last year's posts on this site they starting hearing on Jan. 28th.
