I really did not know what category to put this under, but "Nurses Rock" sounded appropriate for how I feel at this time!
I passed my NCLEX the first time in 75 questions. I am now official.
I just wanted to share with the allnurses community, because you guys has been helpful throughout my nursing endeavor. SO THANK YOU!
Is it bad that I am so excited that I can now put "RN" behind my username...

CONGRATS!!! I would be so disappointed if you weren't excited about your brand new "R.N." I remember how I felt using it for the first time and that was MANY years ago. I am still proud of it and hope you are as happy throughout your career as I've been through mine. Best Wishes to you.
Thank you very much. :) I am starting at the hospital that I have been at Pharmacy Tech at for 5 years. I can't wait to start out my new career!

Congratulations!!
I was hired before graduating, and the hospital had "RN" on my ID badge. So of course until passing my NCLEX I covered that "RN" with a piece of tape w/ "GN." I went on break and called my husband, and he told me my results had arrived. I made him open it up and tell me if I'd passed or not, so he read my letter over the phone. When I hung up I squealed, and when I went back to the floor I told my preceptor "I PASSED!!!" We were walking down the hall for a call light and I stopped briefly. She asked what I was doing and I said "I'm taking off this GN sticker!!" :)
Love THAT story, thank you for sharing! And thank you for the congrats!
I got hired on this week with the hospital I was working through nursing school as a pharmacy tech. All the nurses that know I was going for my nursing license were extremely excited for me to start working there. I can't wait!
