Maybe letters of recommendation would help ? I’d imagine anyone that’s gotten this far would be a good student . The last cohort was 3.38 GPA with the test so who know this semester

I don't think they accept letters of rec. or a resume...

Hello Everyone.

What general classes would you recommend taking for BSN transfer while taking prerequisites? Next semester I will be taking my last two prerequisites for entry into the evening program, but I want to take two more classes to be full-time.

So far, I have received credit for statistics. What other courses besides nutrition and developmental psychology can I take that I can transfer into a BSN, provided I get into BMCC's program?

Best of luck to every one of you.

it depends on the program you apply to, you have to do your research. Every school is different. gl

You first have to pick a program because different schools have different requirements. Your best choice is a CUNY school when it comes to accepting transfer credits. Once you have your choice your advisor can help you to pick classes that are transferable

good luck

Btw I found a discussion about Staten Island college nursing program. In 2018 there were 400 applicants for 60 spots. So 1000 is definitely a better estimate for Bmcc ?

Agree with the other post every program is different . also be careful because some even CUNY schools only want you to take certain classes in their school . And I did transfer it’s not as seamless as you would imagine it should /could be . At the end of the day they want the money so they want you to take classes in their school

Hi,

I feel like I'm in the same position as you. It looks like you have taken most of your pre-clinical classes. My humble advice is that, don't take any class that is irrelevant for the sake of full time status. I'm in the same position too. But right now, I've already registered for a Nutrition class just in case I don't get accepted into the nursing program this coming fall. I'll rather take only one class rather than take a bunch of classes that I'll be irrelevant in the nearest future. I have taken all science classes from A & P to Microbiology. Chem, Statistics, Eng.......to name a few. So right now I don't really have any class left that will be relevant for a BS program. Maybe language because I saw that at Lehman college program. Other than that, most pre-clinical classes are the same. I also agree with those who said that it's gonna be a good idea to check each college requirements before you enroll in any class. Good luck with everything and I hope you'll get a chance to do your clinical at Bmcc.

I was told that we would hear something back for FALL 2020 the first week of June. Things could change I’m just passing the information along. I pray that we get in to any program that we apply to and will apply to moving forward. From ASN - BSN- MSN - DNP WHATEVER ROAD IS CHOSEN. ☺️???❤️
