Backpack for nursing school?

Do you use a rolling backpack?

Featured Replies

No. Never had that many things that I needed to carry.

I bought one on sale for 25$ @ Walmart.com because I was advised I would need one & looking at all the students they have a collapsible box with wheels or a rolling backpack filled with books but everyplace is different?

I'm debating on what kind of backpack/carry bag to get for my first semester. I know a lot of people say to get rolling ones (they aren't my favorite) because of all the books that we have. What is everyone getting or what does everyone have :)?

I love my dakine backpack. I keep all my books in my car so I just swap out whatever book I need. Very few people in my class have rolling backpacks.

It's a beautiful day to save lives.

I just wasn't in the habit of bringing my books to class. I just carried the lecture notes and a pen. I'm sure it would be convenient if you plan to study outside your home.

I use my rolling bag often especially when going to a study group. I like to carry most of my books and notes. It saves my back the discomfort

I just use a Jansport, but I do not have to bring my books to class everyday. I would recommend waiting (unless you have already started/know) to wait and see what your professors are expecting you to bring to class everyday

The cool people have big bags on wheels. I never read any books so I just bring my laptop and/or tablet with a notebook for lecture. I never read their lecture outlines either. I'd get a leather catalog case like the salesmen use if I was wealthy and trying to look cool.

I use my rolling book bag while going to class and to the library to study. When I go home I leave it in my trunk( I have a 3 year old and I hate anything that drags on the ground all day) and just take the books out that I need. Those books are too heavy to carry around all day.

Yes! Got a great one on Amazon for less than the stores sell them....

I have two Vera Bradley totes that I may switch back and forth from- depending on what all I have to carry. I have the Get Carried Away tote, that is super humongous and is currently holding all of my fall semester textbooks plus shoes plus stethoscope plus everything else. However, if I need to go lighter and only carry a few things, I have the Vera tote which still is a decent size, but less "humongous." Luckily my main lectures are on the same day, so I wouldn't have to carry a human every day of the week.
