what area and why

if given the chance to choose on what area of nursing do you want to work for, what will you choose and why?

well for me, i would choose the hemodialysis because as they would say, the tasks there are just routinary therefore making it as one of the least hectic area of nursing :p

Adult ICU because it's required for CRNA school.

I do ICU. I could never do anything else. I love the ICU setting. It's always different and always something to learn. If I could never do ICU nursing again I'd probably do hospice.

I really enjoy ER. We see it all so I guess what I enjoy most is the variety!! :D

I enjoy ICU most of the time, but I would like to try Cath lab or Inpatient Hospice.

I love working in the OR but I also loved ICU when I worked there as a grad nurse.

I adore psych...I only went to school to do that and can't imagine doing anything else now...did a brief stint on med/surg and I missed psych every single day!

I loved psych in school but being a psych patient myself, don't know how that would work out. I love what I do now in geriatrics, I just want to do something different, like teach, or even be a nurse practitioner for the elderly.

Blessings, Michelle

well, the most wonderful thing i've ever done was katrina relief. (i was still in college at the time, not a nurse yet!) i would absolutely love to do disaster relief nursing. and words cannot describe what i experienced in new orleans.

I start nursing school next semester and I dream about ICU everyday :) ...can't wait til that day!

I work in the ICU as a tech and absolutely love it, I want to be the RN that does everything for their patient, thats why I cant do Med/Surg
