Hi

Did you take the local board? Because as far as I know, Vermont only accept RN applicants. If you're looking for the New Mexico, visit this website http://www.bon.state.nm.us/forms.html. Download the application form and read the instructions.

I hope this helps.

if you do a google search for New Jersey nursing or California nursing or New York nursing the BON's will come up and then you follow guidelines for foreign trained nurse. Be aware that for NY you need CVS doing with CGFNS

All application forms can be found on the state board of nursing website so just do a search for them. Also always best to check out their websites for any information as they will always state their requirements

Plus if you do a search in this forum using key words you will find threads which will also have the websites listed

You are not going to find NCLEX applications anywhere, there is no such thing. You are going to be applying for licensure as an RN in a particular state. It requires approval of the state before you can sit for the NCLEX exam. And the exam is only part of the licensing process.

You should select a state based on where you wish to work. Not which is fastest because you could be wasting time and money endorsing, and that can actually even take you longer to do than if you went thru that state in the first place.

HI SUZANNE! MUTYA HERE, A NEW MEMBER. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME WITH MY PROBLEM... I JUST PASSED THE JUNE LOCAL BOARD HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES AND WISH TO TAKE NCLEX SOON. MY CHOICE OF STATE IS NEW YORK... WHAT BOTHERS ME IS THAT I THOUGHT NYSTATE DONT REQUIRE CGFNS BUT SOMEONE TOLD ME THEY REQUIRE IT... IS THAT DIFFERENT FROM CVS? WHAT DOES CVS MEANS? WHAT SHOULD BE DONE FIRST, CVS OR NCLEX?... I ALSO WANT TO KNOW HOW IS THE COST OF LIVING IN NEW YORK? IS IT OK OR QUITE HIGH? HOW ABOUT HOUSING RENTALS AND OTHERS? I CONSIDER THESE THINGS BECAUSE I AM MARRIED WITH ONE SON AND WANT TO KNOW IF WE CAN SURVIVE LIFE IN NEW YORK.... YOUR HELP WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED... THANKS AND GOD BLESS... HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON...:uhoh3:

Hi and welcome to the site

NY does not require CGFNS exam only CVS and that has to be completed and approved by NY BON before they will give you permission to sit NCLEX. You are not just applying for NCLEX but licensure of which NCLEX is part f the process. Many hospitals in NY are not petitioning foreign nurses so may need to look at another state to work in. Plenty of threads to read and suggested ones are Primer to working in the US, retrogression and NY. Also try the search facility with keywords

Could we also ask that you don't type all in capitals as considered shouting and also hard to read

hi silverdragon. we cross paths in a lot of threads about nclex. thanks for patiently helping us out.

so let me clarify...NY does not require passing CGFNS?

anyway, at first i had my papers for CA NCLEX ready and all. all i need is actually the amount to be drafted and i'm good to go. but you have advised that i do everything in NY since i informed you (in another forum) that my relatives are actually in NY. Is it possible for me to apply for nclex in CA, then work in CA first while processing CVA for NY? Though the thing is, I'm still outside of US and I'm unsure when my visa would be granted.

so what do you think? CA or NY?

Am i making sense? haha! sorry for the confused query.

CGFNS is an organization which offers several services (CGFNS-CES, CGFNS-CVS, CGFNS-CP, CGFNS-VSC...).

Know the requirement of your desired state before applying at CGFNS.

Here is the link...http://www.cgfns.org/files/pdf/SBON_req.pdf

Why pay CA when you still have to go through CVS. If you are not in the US and do not know when you are going then CVS makes better sense to start.
