Anyone Using RUE...

Are any of you using the Rue Edu. study material. I started with them like 3 weeks ago. I was just wondering If any of you were going thru them too?

I joined RUE in Aug. 2010...I have yet to get my books or study materials. They are blamming the publisher for not getting the books out, my class has been post-poned till Nov. 1. If I don't start class in nov. I will be contacting the B. B. B. and a lawyer, I pay monthly on this and expect my classes to start when they are to start. I decided to go thru RUE due to the advisors and good study guides my fellow co-workers received. But my co-workers are now at the point I am....NO BOOKS AVAILABLE....good luck to you:o

Ops...didn't realize this post was from months ago.....still p'ed no books no classes....

You don't need publishing company books to sign up for or to prepare for nursing exams from Excelsior (assuming the program you are involved with is Excelsior). Go to the Excelsior College website: http://www.excelsior.edu where you will find all the necessary info you need to complete the nursing program. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply....but how do I get out of RUE??...

Once the statutory limit has passed, (usually three business days), it is impossible to get out of contracts with Rue or any other publishing company. Commonly, people stop paying them, then they are surprised when they are successfully sued, and the judgement is enforced against them. You can read about these negative experiences here and on other websites.

Well I know that it sucks not to get your books when you are ready to start. I called rue and they didn't take a payment till my books came in and to make sure I dont have that problem again I have already signed up for my next course. I do believe that they are having a problem with the book company because the colleges around here are having trouble getting books in also. I signed up in November received my books for transitions last week and course starts next monday (was suppose to start in December) my second course that starts in February was suppose to be January I should have the books next week. I hope this helps and everyone accomplishes all their goals this year;)
