And now we wait!!!

Well, after a year of studying my backside off and accomplishing a 4.0 GPA, I have finally applied for nursing school. This is my dream, and I have waited a long time to finally have the privilege of following my dream. I am an older student and am excited & scared all at the same time. The letters go out mid October and I am not sure my heart is going to hold up for that long. I hope I am accepted. Anyone one else out there chewing their fingernails along with me? Chime in, maybe we can all keep each other company.

I just apped also to ADN, but with a 3.91 I'm geting in the BSN for sure. Find a shcool that does GPA and you should get in. Alot don't though because they know alot peeople can get a 4. if they cherry pick their classes right.

I'm with you waiting. I applied to the Fall of 06 with a 4.0 but I did not get accepted. I am waiting on Spring of 07 admissions. The best part is I have completed all of my non-nursing courses and thus have maxed out points in several areas not to mention I have a high test score. So I am not as nervous this time around. In fact I am very excited about the wait! Although the possibility of being rejected still exits, I have a back up plan to continue to work on my RN-BSN bridge courses. Good luck to you. I just turned my application for the BSN program for Spring 2007 in today. Now I just have to wait till mid November to find out. My boyfriend is waiting to find out if he got into med school (he'll know by October 1st), so the next couple of months are going to be pretty stressful. Good luck to everyone else!

I'm here biting nails right along with you all. I am frightened what happened to MBA2BRN, is going to happen to me. I have tried for the past 3 years to get into several different schools for BSN.

I'm applying for ADN with a 4.0 and all pre reqs finished....I hope I make the cut....then I'm off to RN to BSN eventually...but first I need in the door!

No need to worry. As you already know, rejection will not cause you to crumble up and die. Just do your best to max out all of your points and you should be fine. Good luck. :wink2:

I'm with all of you...just submitted application, letter, and NLN scores...should find out mid-Nov. I'm applying for the Spring of 07 2 yr program at my local CC. They only accept 60 students, so I'll be anxiously waiting! The pre-reqs were tough, but I managed to get all A's. Boy, I feel like a weight has been lifted...now I can enjoy myself and rest until Nov. Good luck to everyone else waiting!!!:monkeydance:

I'm in the same stress situation!!!!! Actually it's driving me nuts!!!! I'm having nightmares allready and letters are going to be mailed until mid October, I just applied last week , I'm done with all the courses beside the core ones but Nutrition, that's my last class. I allready have a BS in another field so I'm done qith the general education requirements, but I applied to an ADN. And I just apply to one college because I can't move. Even I burn my brain out trying to get a 4.0 GPA I couldn't. I have a 3.69. I think that's why I'm so worried couse is the thing I want the most, to get in soon!!! as everyone here. I just have to be optimistic and keep the faith. Even though I don't have a 4.0 I hope I still have a chance.

i'm in my 3rd semester of a two yr. r.n. program and my best advice for anyone not already in the nursing program is...... work or volunteer at a hospital on a medical/surgical floor NOW, so you know exactly what you're getting into.
