Whether it is a break for the semester or just for the holiday, how are you enjoying the time off?

I miss the social part, don't realize how big a part of your life your classmates are till you don't see them every day. ;-)

I am trying to enjoy this time with family. Especially since this upcoming semester is going to be a beast. I am trying to resist the urge to pick up my books, but wondering if I should be looking/reading ahead.

Heading into the 2nd semester of an ADN program. we will have an extended semester containing med surg, peds, OB, and Pharm.

its soo strange to NOT be studying...i dont know what to do with myself...well of course, i started learning/preparing for my maternity class....not going crazy but just enoogh to be somewhat familair with what ill be learing...oh and wathchin the tube physicial assessemnts! oh and just going to review normal lab value...and maybe get some HESI study guides...ok i guess im not on vacation mentally!! lol

I have been catching up on my DVR's, beat Super Mario Wii, rereading the Twilight Saga (on last book now), enjoying time with my kids, going to Fl in a few weeks right before school starts again, going without the kids. (I have 4 of them so it's a nice break) my best friend from WA is meeting me there as well so it should be fun.

And pre studying for the upcoming semester so I can rock it!

Sleep, video games, truck maintenance....basically all the stuff I've neglected during the semester....also going snowboarding whenever I can, and Vegas w/ classmates in January!

Ah, the skeletal system....we have a test the first week back

I am enjoying my break spending lots of time with my kiddos and working my butt off!! It's nice to make a normal paycheck again!! I will be starting my reading this week to get ahead of myself!!!

I am very thankful for the time I have had with my 2 year old. It's been so nice to play with her and hang out and stuff. I have missed it. She still goes to daycare 2 days a week to hold her spot. (it's more like pre school) but I have loved having that time back with her again. My boys are a lot older and have lives and friends so it hasn't been the same LOL, I haven't enjoyed all the fighting with them

Well now that Christmas is over (hosted at my house this year) I have been cleaning out everything from dressers, closets, under the beds, the basement and kitchen pantry. My house looked like a frat house. I started my LPN program in May of this year. Even my pets are disgusted with the house. :uhoh21: I guess thats what happens when you have 3 boys and an unemployed husband. At least my husband tries, its just not the way I would do it. He cooks too so I guess I really shouldn't complain much. As long as we all eat, have clean laundry and no one comes over unanounced we are good to go. (I guess I could just make them wait outside, but its too cold, j.k.) There have been a few times when people just come over (unanounced) for what ever reason and we have unfolded laundry all over the couch and love seat, I can't even offer them a place to sit. Then my dogs have the nerve to stare me down when I find a place to sit in the living room like I have to move for them so they can lay down in comfort. I have one more week off and then it's back to the stress.

OMG hopesgramcracker! you have just described my house. From the three boys to the unemployed husband (although mine does not cook), and i use to have a love seat around here somewhere, it is currently disguised as a laundry pile. ;-)

There are several things on my "hope to get done before going back to school" list. Things have gotten away from me this past semester and I hope to go into this one a little bit ahead of the game. ;-)
