Hey guys, I know this isn't nursing related but I have great faith and strongly believe in the power of prayer. We just found out tonight that a dear friend of the family was in a terrible car accident and her 2 year old son was killed, her other son who is 6 is in a coma and they don't expect him to make it either. The mother is doing okay, she needed surgery but is expected to recover and their daughter is okay too. Please send up a prayer for this family. I can't imagine the heart ache and pain that is caused when you lose a child. They need a lot prayers for comfort to help them get through this terrible time. Thanks a bunch!!

I am so sorry to read this. I will send prayers her way...it will be a long tough road for her. I can't even imagine losing two children, let alone one =(. This will be hard for you too as her friend. (((hugs & prayers)))

I am so sorry to hear this. It sends chills throughout my body. I can't even imagine the horror of that. I will say a prayer and numerous prayers for this family and everyone who knows them.

Thanks for asking. Nothing really new, Cody remains in stable condition and Debbie (the mother) is doing as best she can. The funeral for the baby will be on Tuesday. They had to move the location because they are expecting an enormous crowd. Debbie is an elementary school teacher so her class and school are trying to support them as best they can. Thanks for all your prayers, they mean a lot.
