What if I dont get into the lpn program?

Hi everyone, I am currently doing pre reqs at Medgar Evers College. I want to take the nln and apply to the lpn nursing program next spring. My grades are not the best and I dont think retaking classes will make them any better! There are soooo many applicants, I doubt I will get in. I wanted to apply to other schools but they all say you have to be a student there and take the pre reqs there. Im totally hopeless right now!

Best to always have a Plan B in life in case Plan A doesn't work out.

You are totally right. Any ideas for Plan B?

Me?? No, because I don't know anything about you, your interests, your abilities, etc.

Retake some pre-requisites and improve your grades, make yourself a better candidate.

As far as I know you do not have to complete pre-reqs at a school you will be applying to a program. I am a CUNY student and will be applying to some CUNY nursing programs. However, LPN might be a different game.

Yeah- I'm a little lost:

The LPN program I went through was just that- a program of classroom and clinicals that we went through, graduated and, in those days, took state boards. The RN program consisted of pre reqs, nursing classes and clinicals.

What am I missing? Care to enlighten me?

I know many many places now require a few prerequisites to getting into an LPN program. Mostly CCs. Usually it's A&p I along with a writing class. They feel they see better success with their students if they have them have a basic understanding. The RN program has quite a bit more. There is also a lower level math involved I think.
