Whose got back problems?????

I've had a "bad back" since about 10th grade. I see the chiropractor about every 6 weeks for maintence, before my symptoms return. Do you see the chiropractor often enough??

I rarely get pain, unless I lift heavy objects/patients. I take Aleve when I do, and pay a visit to the chiropractor.

Interesting thing- have you ever had XRays taken at the chiropractor? I just moved, and my new chiro took Xrays..seems one of my vertebrae is out of allignment, and I have more of a curve then I should in my back (which can both be fixed with like..a ton of adjustments) My old chiro never took them..so maybe a new one would find something and be able to treat you better?

If you have gotten XRays and know the problem, so so speak, maybe you could up your visits so that you are getting adjustments before the pain starts..just a thought!

For shoes- yes they are so important!!! NurseMates actually hurt my feet more and made my toes go numb (and I dont have wide feet). I have a pair of EasySpirits now and for me, they are like walking on air. A lot of people do recommend Danskos or Crocs, but I have never tried either of them. Shoes for nurses normally need to be white, at least for every place I have been too.

I have low back problems, so bad I take Lortab 10's q6h for pain, plus muscle relaxers and ultram at work. Only shoes I have found that work for my low back pain is J.Rubio, $70 a pair, but the do help a little. Although my feet hurt after wearing them - but I still haven't completely broken them in so I can't say it's the shoes or their lack of being broke in.

I a going to try Tai Chi and Yoga is sitting too much...my back will not hold up. In addition, I workout 4o mins treadmill, 30 mins. elipacle and lastly 40 mins on a recliner bike. Then I hurt so much that I cannot walk. I know how duh am I? LOL....not to bright to continue the work out. I am going to do Tai Chi...it looks cool.

My back's constantly sore, from standing on a hard linoleum-like floor for 12 hours a day, and then coming home an sitting in !@%^*&^% desk chair doing homework

And yoga typically helps me, but i've slacked, simply because i just don't have the time.

Periodically I have back issues. I have had pitched nerves and that was the worst. Typically I go on bed rest for 24-48 hours and take it easy and I am fine. I hate to take medicine when some good old fashion rest will do. I have also utlilized a chiropractor. The work he has done has helped me tremendously enough that 12yrs and counting never out on workers comp!!

I ve heard accupunture works very well....but definitely be sure there is nothing serious going on before you do anything that might only prolong the inevitable.....or aggrevate an exsisting condition
