If you could work at any hospital or clinic in the nation, where would it be? For me, I'd die to either work at Mass Gen, Johns Hopkins, Harborview, or Brigham and Women's. You?

With all the hoopla of new nurses not getting hired for lack of experience. I'd be satisfied with wherever I can gain experience and a paycheck. Lol!
Lol good answer! I'll take whatever I can get, but my ultimate goal is to work at one of those hospitals at some point during my career :)

Johns Hopkins (or any of the hospitals in their network) would be my first choice...followed by Hosp of the Univ of PA or Children's Hosp of Phila., then Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic I'm starting my ABSN at Johns Hopkins this Fall, so hopefully I can clinch a job upon graduation!..but as someone said above...any job would be great! Lol

I would love to work as a traveling nurse dealing with high risk pregnant patients on bed rest. Taking care of mothers who need one on one care is a BIG dream for me. :)

You could totally do it :) Traveling nurse has always been intriguing to me. I'd love to travel internationally and work that way. A lot of countries need great medical care.
Score! You'd definitely have your hands full in Chicago.

I want to be a Diabetes Educator at the University of Oklahoma's Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic.
That sounds awesome! Good for you for wanting to teach :)

I don't know about the mass. hospitals you mentioned, but I know John's Hopkins pays nurses a lot less that other hospitals in the baltimore metro area. My aunt, whose a NICU nurse I believe said that, and I also feel like I've read it here recently.
In that same tune though, I'd be happy to work in any major research hospital just for the sake of seeing some really amazing procedures (after I put in my time in in whatever area I get hired in, I'd really love to be an scrub nurse.) in the OR. One can dream, right?
