Discussion

Where are you from?

  • Expert

having a discussion with some friends the other day about how many different countries are represented here. it would be fun to see where everyone is from, and how many different countries.

administration has the actual specifics on countries, but some of you only post once or twice, and many are more frequent.

welcome to all of you...................

Greetings to all!:D

I'm from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental(Province), Philippines. :D I'm currently residing in my hometown.

Please allow me to make a short introduction about my hometown:

Bacolod city is known as the "city of smiles" in the Philippines(RP) and the "sugar capital"(Sugar and Sugarcane are the main products of this city)of the RP(Republic of the Philippines). Each year during October, many people come here to enjoy a festival which they call the "Masskara Festival". "Masskara" means mask, and there was a time in history that Bacolod city went through some serious economic drought and everyone became sad, hence there was someone who presented the idea of having a festival of masks to hide the sorrow felt by people, and show up a happy face despite the hardships that they faced.;)

The language widely used by the people of Bacolod is "Hiligaynon" and the people are called "Bacolodnon".

You can visit the official website of Bacolod city for more information:
