When is the March in Washington?

I am putting this under general and I believe it should stay there because this is a topic for us all! I remember reading about a march on Washington this spring about safe ratios and other topics and I know I wrote it down, but can't find the dates. I looked around and didn't see any info readily obvious. I am debating going to this. We all need to take a moment and think about all the problems. All the patients we've seen code because someone missed something due to short-staffing. All the patients that went without a bath or mouthcare. All the preventable decub's and falls. I don't care if you are a CNA, LPN, ADN or BSN. This is our issue! We have to do something and I can't think of anything else to do except drive to Washington DC and get our of my car with a homemade sign and be there.

The capital building, where nothing gets done.

Thanks for the information! I hope we all put it on our calendars and make an effort to go. Thanks also to "nurseBeth" for reposting her article. We are all very busy and a monthly repost of the article with the dates could serve as a reminder. It's easy to get bogged down in the "day to day" and loose sight of the "big picture.

Some of the allnurses team will be attending the rally. We will be sharing some on-the-scene live coverage.

NURSES TAKE DC!! Be there for you and all your coworkers!! There is power in numbers!! We have A very large voice when we stick together and support each other!!! We need better work conditions!! Our physical and mental health should not suffer for us to help our patients, while the people in the ivory tower make money off our hard work and sacrifice!!!😪😪😪😪😪😪
