What kind of program are you in?

Please don't let this turn into some vicious ADN vs BSN post... I don't intend it that way at all. I'm just curious how many of us students out there are pursuing which degree. :)

ADN here. I will graduate in May 2004 then I plan to go on for my BSN.

Hi; I am in LPN and this is my third career change.

BSN for me. I graduate in 2006. Start actual nursing program on the 25th. YEAH!!! Finally!!!!

Alana

will start bsn on sept. 2 and will graduate in 2 yrs.

I'll start my BSN on Sept.2 and graduate in 23 months! I go to my orientation tomorrow and I CAN"T WAIT!!!

ADN for a couple of reasons starting and regular pay is the same in PA and I have to work while I do it. Working and going to school is going to take 3 years (3 days down) if I were in a BSN program prob 5 or 6 I can't see the light at the end of that tunnel!

Diploma program.

ADN for me, although I may eventually go for my BSN. I really haven't decided yet.;)

I always forget to answer my own questions. LOL

BSN here. I already had most of the pre-reqs and figure if it's going to take the same amount of time either way, might as well go for the higher degree while I can.

Just crossing my fingers that I can get in for the fall class in 2004! :)

I am getting an Associates.....already have a B.S. (in environmental science) and didn't want to go to school very long. I only needed 40 credit hours for the Associates. Does anyone know if you can skip the BSN and go straight to MSN? Thanks,

Jen

I have a degree in environmental science too! It came in handy with the nursing pre-reqs, since all I had to take was A&P I and II, Nutrition, and Human Growth and Development.

Waiting lists and pre-req's for ADN program would have put me at graduating one semester earlier had I gone that route. So glad I stuck it out for the BSN. I think it will help me get exactly the job I want and better prep me for going on to the MSN.

RN-BSN program Good Luck to all!!
