So I'm all set to start the nursing program in Fall 2017 (if I get accepted of course). Right now I'm finishing up summer classes at my community college. My last semester there will be this fall, and then for the spring I'll finish up prerequisites at the four year university where I'm going to apply to the nursing program. The problem is, only 10 credit hours worth of my nursing prerequisites are being offered at my CC this Fall. Then I'll only have about 10 credit hours left to take at my university in the spring. I can handle more than 10 hours, so I figured I'd just choose a class that I enjoy or that will help me in nursing school (like medical terminology). I signed up for criminal justice 101. It's a completely random class that doesn't really pertain to nursing, but I've always been interested in it so I thought "Why not?". What class would you take in this situation?

When I was in a similar situation, I took a pathophysiology class and abnormal psychology class. The latter helped when I had nursing mental health, and the former has helped throughout.

I'd probably choose a foreign language if you haven't taken one already. Spanish or ASL

The one that interested me the most. I actually took Criminal Justice and I loved it - was a great class.
I have an extra spot for a class, too. I decided on Medical Terminology.

When I was in that position I took an intro to neuroscience class. It was fascinating. Criminal justice sounds like it could be a lot of fun and a lot of interesting learning. I think the most important thing when taking a "fun" class to fill credits is to take something that is interesting to you.

Def a foreign language or even a different psychology such as child development or abnormal psych! GL

To support my nursing career, I would take an advanced nutrition class. I also like the neuroscience idea! But I am all for taking classes just because they interest you. Take what you want to take.

I was in a similar situation and took Patho. It helped me a lot once I was in the program. Like the others said though, if nothing like that is available, then a psych class or child development class will probably be the most beneficial since you're going into nursing.
All of the classes you guys suggested sound really awesome, but unfortunately my CC doesn't offer many of them. I ended up choosing intro to criminal justice and intro to law enforcement. Should be an interesting semester!

What about online classes like EKG Interpretation or Pharmacology?
