weekend differential

I am just curious as to how many of you get paid a weekend differential, more pay for working weekends.

Not a weekend package, just your scheduled weekend.

I was curious to the amount of the differential, and general location.

I would like to see nurses where I work get this.

Also do you get call in pay?

Thanks for any responses.

thanks everyone for all of your replies. I would really like to see something like this where I work. Probably don't have a chance though. Thanks again

The differential, combined with make- up weekends automatically scheduled for weekend callouts, really made an improvement in our weekend staffing!

We get no weekend differential and are nowmally required to work 2 weekends out of every 4. But since we do self scheduling, we get out of some of them.

Our hospital gives us 1.25$ weekend differential...if you work every weekend as a regular shift, I think that you only get the diff every other weekend. We get 3.50$ an hour standby pay and if we get called in we get time and a half.

Hi;

I work in Chicago. I work nites.

We get $3.00/hr for nite differential; $2.00/hr for weekend differential; and we get $1.00/hr for being in charge.

We get $1/hr for weekends, sometimes. Depends if they "remember" to pay you for it or not. Night diff is between $2-3/hr here, seven days/week. No holiday pay, OT after 40 hrs., no OT for picking up extra shifts unless it puts you over 40. SO if you work 3 12-hour shifts in a week, then pick up an extra 12-hr day, only 8 hrs. is OT.

NO holiday pay, no incentives. We don't normally have to take call, unless we are cancelled for a shift and instead placed on call. No call pay.

10% diff for weekends
