Wanting to transfer into a fast tracking program, Canadian student

Hi, in December I was in my third year of nursing. Unfortunately my teacher did not like me at all and another teacher was my ex bf's sister in law and they failed me even though I passed all my classes marks wise. Well I plan on going back into nursing but I was hoping to only do a year and a half then a full blown two years. At my school we did not take a stats class. I took nursing in BC. Anyone know any options out there? I applied to UFV, and Trent. I am just waiting to hear back from them. I even applied to Australia where its only 3 years. I'm that desperate. I have been going to school for 6 years now and I just want tot travel and have a life and not be broke for once. Thanks

That sounds exactly like me. I did everything to please her. Everything and it was never enough. I literally was doing stuff over the weekend for clinical. I was always doing clinical stuff and called her everyday. I told her everything I felt. I saw she favored students who were really outgoing and beyond talkative. I was quiet because it was a class of 12 students and weren't open at all so I kept my mouth shut. I told my teacher things about bad things that have happened in my life. I know too cause once she told me I was sick and shouldn't come to clinical and I wasn't sick at all. Then, I heard her talking to other teachers saying if I didn't make something up that I would fail, and I made it up. So I feel like she did this on purpose. I could never do anything to please her. And now I'm BEYOND depressed about it and have to be a year behind.

Hi, I have done 2.5 years of nursing but failed my third year of clinical. I don't want to do another 2 years. Any tips? I have applied to trent compressed program and UFV but UFV said I might not get in on time as they are still assessing me. Thanks

If you want an RN it will take you two more years no matter what... Western's program is the shortest at 19 months for compressed. Why not try and continue your current degree? I can't see how starting a whole new one would be beneficial you have taken half of the courses already. I'm also not too aware of how many restrictions they put on students looking to take a compressed program who already have Nursing courses completed... You aren't saving yourself any time by doing a compressed degree and it is bound to be much more demanding than a regular BscN Collaborative.

Why did you fail your 3rd year of clinical?

Long story. I was placed in a daycare. My teacher never really liked me cause I was not a talkative person. Told me to take a year off and think about something like social worker. She even gave me a certificate saying I completed five semesters the week before cause I was transferring schools. I passed my clinical marks wise but she wouldn't grant my credit.

Like when does third year start? May??

If you want true input in your questions you should be honest about it, you have different post stating different stories! So what's the real one?

What are the fast tracking programs?

Das, how many threads are you going to start on this subject?

No poster has given you an answer that you like, but you keep asking the same questions.

" like" ?????

This sounds like a bizarre story of " convenience". CI's don't dislike students for being " not talkative".

Anyway...with that being said ( phew!) I don't see why after your (alleged) 2.5 years you would even bother with an accelerated program....in terms of timing it doesn't make sense!!

Is there more to this story?
