Waitlist Status

Everyone's situaton is different and anything can happen. I was alternate 9 and the program I applied to only accepted 30 also. Well, last month I received a call inofrming me that a spot had become available for me so I accepted, it's a BSN program. People apply to more than one school and may accept admission somewhere else or decline for other reasons. But you never know so just stay positive. Best of luck to you.

I have the same problem as you. I'm waiting on a acceptance letter also and need to know really soon because I will have to move also. I have three kids and a hubbie to move also. My problem is that I have to give a thirty day notice but I am month to month with an extra fee to do so. I'm trying to plan it around my school age children on when they need to be moved to start back to school then I have two that are going to headstart. I applied for headstart in the area Im moving to and they call me the other day and stated that there application can't be processed until we get an address. So as you can see it's crazy with me and my family right now. We are about to loose our minds. If I get rejected atleast I can move on with plan B but I don't know the results yet. The school says by July 9th if this is true then I will have less than a month to move me and the family and enroll kids in school and so on. Anyway I thought I would share my dilemma. Yeah I applied to every type of financial aid possible. I was awarded two scholarships when I was first admitted to the university. However these scholarships are for non impacted majors only so as soon as I was officially accepted into the BSN program I lost them. So now I have no way to cover out of state tuition! I am so hoping waitlist karma catches up with me and I get into the LVN program, lol.

I was on the alternate/ waiting list.... The wait and wondering sucks.... Through prayer and positive thinking you can make it through it. I was 24th on the waiting list... I recived a email yesterday stating I got in!!! So don't give up....

I agree with the others don't give. I was waitlisted as alternate #2 and I just got my acceptance letter yesterday. Someone may decline a spot, any you may get in. Sending lots of hugs and encouragement your way. :hug:

OMG it is so helpful to hear about your cases. I am # 23 on a waitlist and I was starting to despair. Now I know that there is strong possibility to get in the program and I might rank even in the first 10 alternates aha:D

Well I just found out that the program has decreased the number of accepted students down to 20 (or possibly 24 if they can hire another clinical instructor in time). I was optimistic being third on the waitlist but now I'm 13th! Oh and there were only 35 applications for what was thought to be 30 spots. I really have to choose soon if I will move to the new town or not because my lease ends next month. The town is very isolated and there are not many job opportunities there is one skilled nursing facility and the closest LTC facility is about an hour away.
