Wait time for CPNE

Has anyone recently received their date for CPNE? How long is it taking. I'm about to be finished with examinations and wondering how long I should plan to wait. I had heard its 6-8 month wait, which is frustrating because I chose EC because I could get it done quickly. I could have saved a lot of money by going to CC.

Thanks!

Depending on which region npac is 2-3 months while ga is 6 -8 months

Depends vastly on which sites you choose and how much notice you need to make arrangements to be there. The NY sites are the quickest.

It depends on your region and how far you are willing to travel on a short notice as they do offer cancellations...

I applied in May-- got a date the next day, and rec'd 2nd week of Sept, so about 4 months, and that is NY.

I'm in Texas so that would be nice but I'll go wherever if it means shaving some time!

Depends on where you want to test. I applied in may and got a cancelation date about 2 weeks later for about 6 weeks out. I applied at the MPAC region.

My cpne application was accepted and got a date the very same day. My app was accepted in June and my cpne is Aug 19. That's with npec. They offered one for July also, but I needed time to prep and take off for work. Aug worked for me. There really isn't much of a wait in NPEC,now the others do have a wait.

I applied over a month ago to NPAC and I still don't have a date. I even called and was told to call back in three weeks. I like you am disapointed that I have to wait so long then in AZ I have to do 120 hours of clinical time:eek: and I fear that will have be waiting months after the CPNE before I can even apply for nclex which is a 8 weeek or more wait. I am looking at 6 or more months of waitting now that I did all the classes, so much for self paced and fast!

I applied for MPAC at the end of June, and I called last week and the midwest testing center is only processing the applications from they received from Mid-June, and they are booking out to November right now. NPAC is the way to go, definately if traveling is not an issue for you. From what I hear, cancellations are always a possibility. Good luck :)

Welcome to the CPNE group :) I am in a waiting for a date too, and what I find (that I didn't expect) was that it is really hard for me to gage how much I should be cramming like crazy right now, when I don't know when I am going to be testing. I don't want to keep a huge pace if I am not testing for 5 months. Good luck on getting your date! The MPAC lost two testing centers, so I wonder if the NPAC is seeing higher applicants.
