Sep 29, 201411 yr Hey guys ! I'm applying and I'm really nervous, but excited to start my nursing program soon. Anyone else applying to UW?
Feb 19, 201511 yr Also, does anyone think that we're going to receive our letter earlier than April 15th?? I've looked at the past forums and it seems that the admissions ppl send it out on the last Friday of finals week of Uw.
Feb 19, 201511 yr It was something like the medication prescribed was 50mg/kg, pt weighs 25.5 kg. The medication comes in liquid form 100mg/ml. How many ml should be given? After she said pens down I realized I was supposed to divide 50 by 25.5 to get rid of kg, then divide 100 by 2 to get the answer..... This will haunt me forever! How stupid of me...I chose scenario 3 about the 17 yr old.Good luck everyone and congrats for being at the proctored essay session. These types of math questions will come back in your pharm class. It is just using rational thinking process. First divid 50 by 100 = 1/2 then multiply 1/2 by 25.5=12.75mlSent from my iPhone using allnurses
Feb 19, 201511 yr Did anyone else get 11.25 mL for Question 1?I thought that the patient weighed 22.5 kg!?
Feb 19, 201511 yr I just want to wish everyone the best of luck! The proctored essay was super emotionally draining but we got through it and that is a huge accomplishment!
Feb 19, 201511 yr Hi Shelleybaumer,I felt the exact same way! I didn't transition well enough and/ or I am not second guessing if I got my points across clearing. I am so happy that we are done with our applications!! Now waiting...This is the hardest part!
Feb 19, 201511 yr Ugh so mad at myself I also put the decimal in the wrong spot and wrote 127.5 instead of 12.75 but the second one I said 0.5 and last 8 hours! Well now all we can do is wait and hope. Good luck everyone!!
Feb 19, 201511 yr Kaleaud-I think we get an email on the 15th of April that will determine whether or not we get in. I think the actual mail comes around that day.
Feb 19, 201511 yr Ugh I'm so upset with myself...I had trouble with that first math problem and got the right answer the first time than changed it I felt good about the rest and did pretty good on the essay. Good luck everyone!
Feb 19, 201511 yr blauren23, I did the same thing with my decimal point. As soon as I walked out I realized it. cdo0, according to previous years' threads, everyone is sent a letter. The SON doesn't give acceptance via email/phone/etc. Last year, people got their letters around March 21st and the two years before that around April 1st. So fingers crossed that we get the letter early, too.
Feb 19, 201511 yr Oh okay, I don't know where I read that info then. Probably for a different school.
Feb 20, 201511 yr Author Hey, so a question for anyone who knows anything about SPU's nursing program. Do they incorporate or influence any kind of christian beliefs on the overall program? I applied there as well, but I'm not at all religious, even less Christian. I would really like to know if they instill a religious outlook throughout the BSN program. By the way, I am being asked for an in person interview from them tomorrow.. Thanks!
Feb 21, 201511 yr Rococo, I personally have no idea, but the reviews on College Niche seem to say that it's accepting of all people. https://colleges.niche.com/seattle-pacific-university/diversity/The school's curriculum page doesn't list any religious classes, either. Degree Requirements
