UTMB Spring 2013

Ok well i got a letter in the mail with the website address i should go to to complete the supplemental app. I never recieved any emails from utmb

I got mine through my Email.

Ok so I could either get it in the mail or my email. For the people who got it in the mail how long did it take for you to receive it?

I think it was like 5 days after i submitted my app.

My GPA still hasnt been calculated, NursingCAS has not received the transcript i sent on may25th if they don't receive it monday or tuesday of next week, it will be over for me.

I used a website to calculate my GPA and it gave me a 3.6 overall and 3.12 pre-req because they replaced repeated courses with the most recent grade (which is what the community colleges where i took my pre-reqs do too); however, I talked to someone at NursinCAS who said repeated courses are calculated as an average of both grades, which means all the F's I got my first year of college bring my overall GPA down from 3.6 to a 2.80... With a TEAS score of 82.7 and a GPA of 2.8 I have absolutely NO CHANCES of getting in. I am sooo upset right now.

Don't doubt yourself! Dee1388! Write a really really really good personal statement explaining what happen with the F's they are really understanding from what I head plus your teas score is amazing!

it is too early to start losing hope. keep calling nursingcas to check if they have received your transcript and they should try and forward your application to utmb. your stat is not bad at all, you have a competitive teas, your gpa also it not bad. i hope you did explain those f's in your personal statement. if you look at older trends you will notice that UTMB does understand past situations. I wish you the best, be strong it not too late.

I have been looking at older trends and as far as I could tell the lowest GPA to ever get into UTMB was 2.98 with a 90 TEAS score...

dont compare yourself to other people. Everyone is different and has a different story to tell in their personal statement! just resend another transcript in hopes it gets their in time! Im working on the supplemental application now and getting confused by a lot of their questions. but i take the teas tuesday! ahhh and im hoping to make at least an 80 or better. im just worried about the science section, that has always been my struggle. Any of yall have any good tips or good study guides for the science section?

Hello everyone! I just found this forum! I had a few questions about the application...

I'm done with my application, I am now just waiting for my reference letters and my transcripts. I sent my TEAS score to UTMB already. So after my letters/transcripts, do I just hit submit? And then am I done? I've been reading that apparently UTMB sends you something else to your email address. I'm starting to panic because it's due so soon.

Also, where do I have the transcripts sent? I was going to send them electronically. But to UTMB? Or what? I'm so confused...
