Anyone else applying to UTMB for fall 2016?

Just got my acceptance letter, but I'm going to decline. I already accepted my 1st choice (out-of-state). Good luck. You guys should be getting yours soon.

Good job!! Did they say how long you have to accept?

I think you have two weeks from the date they send out your acceptance email. So since my acceptance was sent out today, March 14, the email says I have until midnight March 28 to accept or decline.

I have until midnight on the 28th. I'll tell them tomorrow, I'm going to talk it over with my wife this evening. I don't know about the honor question, I had a 3.81 GPA and a 91 TEAS. I would love to go UTMB (always wanted to be a longhorn, but we (my wife and I) ultimately want to live in Charleston, SC. Since I was accepted to the Medical University of South Carolina, I decided to accept their offer for admission. Good luck guys.

oh it was by email btw.

I got an email saying I've been conditionally accepted!! (Depending on how I do with my last few prerequisites) Any suggestions on where to go for the hep shot?

Nancy, when did you have your interview? Was it during the first round? Also, did they contact you via personal email or through your UTMB email address?

Thanks!

Congrats Nancy! I think I interviewed the same day as you. Now I'm on pins and needles:nailbiting:

Congrats everybody! I got accepted today, but I declined it because I got accepted into my first choice

My interview was last Monday, the 8th. I received an email, on my personal account, yesterday the 14th. My TEAS score was only 76 and my gpa is 3.6. I did express how important I thought being a positive presence was and that I would be 100% dedicated (no other priorities-work or family wise) while in the program. I am not sure if I am going to accept or decline. I have been accepted elsewhere also.

Should I start practicing what I'm going to say? I have my interview this Friday and usually I don't do well in interviews because I nervous and ramble. But I really what do all I can because this is my one shot! Any suggestions? Thank you!

I would say go over a few questions and have the gist of what your answer would be like? If you know what I mean haha

oh and know what you wrote on our personal statement. One or two questions that I was asked were somewhat related to the personal statement.

Just think of all the possible questions and have at least something to say.

Don't panic:) the interview wasn't bad at all. It was more like a casual conversation.

I never do well in interviews but I felt like they made me feel at ease because of how casual the talk was. Good luck! :]

Btw, has anyone else received an acceptance/rejection letter?! I haven't received anything >

I haven't received anything either, but did speak with someone that said most decisions will be out by mid April because interviewing should be done End of March.

Is it just me, or is it kind of odd/inconsiderate that schools in the same general area don't let you know about acceptances/rejections at the same time. TWU released admissions already, but UTMB and UT-Health have not yet. If I don't hear back from UTMB or UT-Health, i would have to fork over money to hold my spot at TWU until I find out anything from UT-Health and UTMB. Some schools' deposits are refundable and some are not -__-
