UTMB FALL 2014

I would like to start a thread for UTMB FALL 2014 since there I cannot find one. I am in the process of applying and this is the only school I am applying to. Right now, I just trying to finish my personal statement before I can submit it. I am a bit nervous and excited at the same time. So, how is everyone else doing?

Cause I interviewed on 3/14 and people before me and after me have heard back.

Hm then I don't know :( Does anyone know which day/s of the week they usually send out e-mails? Thanks .

In the past it has usually been on Tuesdays and Thursdays

People before & after most of us have heard back before we finally did, including people who were accepted. Don't worry. :)

It seems that they waitlisted most of you guys to keep the last half of the applicants options open (The ones who have not heard back). From what I've heard there are still plenty of spots open. I have not heard anybody who recieved an interview get denied.. I'm hoping it stays that way. Also, the instructor who had interviewed me kept reassuring me that since I made the big cut (the interview) there is a high chance of me getting a spot. I just don't know how they get it all done.

that is awesome! Thanks for the info @ua1217! Please post if you have anymore info :)!!

Also, the ones who are wait listed now, majority will most likely get in for fall.Thats just my way of looking at it. I may be wrong... :nailbiting:

There are many people who do not make it in off the wait list if you look at the previous utmb threads, sorry to dash any hopes. I would think utmb's wait list is extremely large since they won't tell people where they stand (especially if they do not send denial letters to anyone that received an interview).

It's just my way of thinking. As I had mentioned I may be wrong. It just seems to me that UTMB is handling it a little different this time around. Also, there is nothing wrong with holding onto a little hope. Hope is the greatest human motivation. Either way those of you who are wait listed are guaranteed a spot so you guys are lucky!

Congrats to you all! Hoping for the best for the rest of us.

I don't know about that. We were the first wave of people to be waitlisted...

Good luck to all who have been waitlisted I have my fingers crossed for you guys, I know a lot of people who have declined their offers for UTMB for personal reasons so there should be a lot of spots still available. I was told in my interview that people that have been waitlisted have been called the day of orientation to be told that they have been accepted so keep your heads held high. I hope to meet all yall in the fall! And even if you haven't been told anything that's still better than being rejected there was like 600 people who applied so remember that it is highly competitive and its impressive that you made it this far.

@kellyanderson I had my interview on March 11 and I still have a green dot! I have not lost hope, I am trying my best to stay away from my email. Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted and wait listed for the spring! I am hoping to hear something back before the end of April .
