UTA Spring 2020

Hi everyone! I figured I'd start a thread for UT Arlington's BSN Spring 2020 applicants!

First off let me start by sharing a few things:

- UTA nursing school acceptance is based off a composite system that consists of your SCIENCE GPA (Anatomy & Phys 1, Anatomy & Phys 2, Microbiology, Chemistry), OVERALL GPA, and Considerations. ?‍?

- also, TEAS scores don't affect your acceptance into the nursing program, unless you don't meet their requirements of course. ? I'm taking mine this Friday so I'll let y'all know how that goes..

also side note: Considerations depend on wether you're applying to the online or on campus. We can only apply to either or..

As of right now, I have 3 considerations:

- military veteran

- 30 hours at UTA

- 3 out of 4 sciences at UTA

I won't know my official science GPA or overall GPA until after this semester ends....

How long did it take y’all to receive the letter or blue card from the Texas Board of Nursing? And how long did y’all have to submit it once you were accepted?

I submited mine on Feb 14. Supposedly the letter was sent out on Feb 27. I called BON again today since the letter was not in the mail. I talked to a nice lady and she sent me the letter via email after scanning it. So I finally got my letter today.

It took me about 2.5 or 3 weeks to get mine

It took me a month because the address they had was incorrect. I had to call to correct and have them resend.

I just got accepted to the Accelerated Online BSN.

My points were about 6.9, I think. (3.2 cGPA and 3.7 sGPA). My TEAS was a 91%. I had no considerations. I work at a partnered facility (Baylor DFW).

AO BSN. I had a 3.879 general admissions GPA and a science GPA of 3.938. I also got an additional .5 for my bachelor of science in biology. So total 8.317. I am not partnered.
