Hey everyone!
I just wanted to open a topic for everyone who will be applying/has applied for the 2017 spring start for the BSN program. I am taking my HESI in a little over 2 weeks and I'm just really nervous about it. I will also be sending in my application shortly after I take the test. I know, I know...very close timing! I am just finishing up a full semester and wanted to make sure that I gave my GPA as much of a boost as possible. I will be applying with an overall GPA of 3.5 and a science GPA of 4.0, as well as one consideration. I would love any advice people have on taking my HESI or just overall nursing school advice. :) Thanks in advance.

I am also applying for the Spring 2017 Semester! The HESI was honestly not hard at all, so don't freak out. I recommend taking the reading portion first so you aren't tired of reading questions by that time. Also, be prepared that some of the math is fill in the blank... but it was mostly super simple proportion problems! Good luck!

Thanks!! I will definitely keep that in mind when I take it. I hope that we are both lucky in getting into the program!

I just submitted my application for the Spring 2017 start! The HESI exam is honestly not that bad. I would recommend taking the math part or the reading part first, these seemed to take the longest. I bought the Elsevier HESI study guide and it help tremendously!! Has anyone taken Pharm or Physio yet? I am taking Pharm this summer (starts May 23rd) and then Physio in fall 2017.
What does yalls GPA look like? Any considerations? Just wondering what the gpa range is for this group of applications.
I have a 3.5 overall GPA and a 3.75 science GPA. My HESI score was a 94%. I have a previous bachelor's degree from UTA and over 30 lower-division credit hours from UTA. I am also partnered with a Baylor affiliated hospital. I have all of the prereqs completed except Pharm and Patho. I will complete Pharm Summer 2016 and Patho Fall 2016. What about you?

Hey guys! I'm also applying for UTA's campus based program as an out-of-state student. I'll be taking my HESI test next week which I'm pretty nervous about. My science GPA is 4.0 and my overall GPA in 3.96, but unfortunately I don't have any considerations since I'm out-of-state.
Does anyone know if they actually rank HESI scores? or do they just care that you got at least a 75% in all of the sections?
I'm going be taking all of the three nursing courses this summer, it's crazy but I really have no choice but to good luck everybody!

I submitted my application for the Spring 2017 online BSN just last week. The wait will be a long one but I'm taking 3 classes this summer and Pharm and Patho in the Fall. Here are my stats: 3.5 Science GPA (as of now, I still have Chem to take), 3.4 overall GPA (for now), HESI: 90% Reading/comp, 90% Grammar, 98% Vocabulary, 88% Math, total score was a 366/400 or 91.50% I have 3 considerations ( 2 prior degrees, BS in Healthcare Admin, M.B.A., 30 lower pre req hours at UTA and 12 of the 16 science) I'm also prior military with a healthcare rating. I'm nervous because from my understanding around 500 apply and about 130 are selected.. has anyone heard anything on those statistics?
Thank you for beginning this thread because October is a long wait! Good Luck to everyone!!

I passed my HESI with an 86%...which is not as good as I was hoping for but it is still passing. I have sent in my application, so yay! I misspoke about my GPA during my initial post. It is a overall of 3.7, a science of 4.0, and I will have one consideration. I am excited and nervous about this long wait, but it will go by quickly and I hope that we all get into the program.
Also, the advice about the HESI was very helpful and I want to thank y'all again for taking the time to tell me about them. :)
