UTA Spring 2012

Alas! Here I go again!;) This thread is dedicated to all hopefuls to either of the programs- AP or traditional. Let's partake in the sharing of ideas, suggestions, and/or insight in the "intricacies" of this nursing program. Former grads, new or current students are encouraged to chat. Knowledge is power, indeed! Continued blessings and success to all! Good Luck!:D

Are you currently taking pharmacology? I'm so afraid of taking this final this is my last chance to get it right ...I'm barley passing. Ugh any other help or suggestions feel free to let me know. And thx for info, it was very helpful!

You get certain "bumps" for certain things. Know those things. Makes a huge difference! Realize that the majority of the advisors now are brand new. I had a very "seasoned" advisor until a few months ago. I got a lot of good information from her on a regular basis. You will ALWAYS get conflicting reports at UTA, but they honestly mean well. They are a maxed out program, but once you get in, it's amazing! ;)

For those of you partnered, what type of position do you have? Wondering what I should look into if I'm not called off wait list. Thanks :)

It does not matter what your position is w/in the hospital.

I know - just curious what positions people have

I apologize. I misunderstood. I am a NUCU nutrition tech. No certifications req'd.

I'm an executive assistant...clerical jobs are pretty easy to get... you might look at unit secretary, admin assistant or access services / patient registration.

Looking at Pharm final is stressing me out! I have an 80.63!! I am dying to keep this B. Last test (test 5) did me in. I actually felt pretty good about it and got a 70. UGH! I got a 90 on 2 others . Good luck to everyone!!! Congrats to everyone that was accepted. I so wish that was me but I had to put off a couple of classes until next semester so next session I will be hoping I get accepted ;)

Don't stress... you are going to do great. Just review your exams and study your notes...we are almost done! Thank goodness...

I will say, I am interested in seeing who all posts about letters today.... I still haven't received mine...so...one day it will come I'm sure....

i got this info from my advisor just for those who are curious!

there were approximately 700 who applied but out of that not everyone is ranked. some apply and then do not complete prereq’s, don’t take the hesi… there were 402 that were ranked and considered for the program. out of that, when all is said and done, there will be 130 accepted.
