UTA FALL 2012

Hey all,

My advisor told me on Monday via email, "It is getting down to the wire! You will need to let me know as soon as possible (i.e. at the end of today), but once you hear back let me know. Once I receive your email notification, I will respond and let you know if it applies." This was in regards to being potentially employed with THR. I interviewed on Monday but have not heard back yet. I talked to a Tomeka Fortune today at THR. She stated, "There is not a set number of partnership positions at THR. If you become employed either full or part time in any position at the hospital you are eligible for the partnership with UTA." Those were her exact words. I unfortunately do not know what paperwork (if any) would need to be submitted to UTA or THR if I were to be employed. I imagine some kind of sign off would be required but at this point I am still waiting to see if I got the job.

Jcosmo1825- my stats are: 4.0 science, 3.9 overall, HESI 91%. I am taking Pharm and Patho starting May 14th and then I will be done with my pre-reqs.

Rubyredd83, I am also enrolled in Path and Pharm for May 14th' nervous about it too. What city do you reside in maybe we can form a study group! Have you applied ar Parkland Hospital because we have a lot of positions also, and we are partnered with UTA also. Your stats are excellent, you should get in with your GPA without being partnered! Hi all. I didn't even know this board existed! I am anxiously awaiting my letter/email for the AP BSN program. I'm currently in Patho and Pharm....studying for my finals. YIKES. Anyone know anything about the Pharm final?? I'm overwhelmed.

I just emailed someone in the nursing office inquiring if the letter would still be ready for the end of April. I don't know how much longer I can wait and stay sane!! All my eggs are in this one basket and I am NOT partnered. I do have a 4.0 overall and did well on my HESI. But I don't if that's enough.

Does UTA interview the applicants anymore guys?

Hey Rubyredd, I don't have a direct contact for Parkland, but go to parklandcareers.com and check out the listings ans see whar you would like to do. I work in the lab, so chech Pathology out too! GOOD LUCK!

I just found out I need to take American literature!! My advisor totally forgot to tell me about that (she only told me I only have tech english left)

I tokk American Lit at UTA online and I really enjoyed the class. I had to work for my "A" but I learned tons about writting and literature!

I need to take Chem and Stats. Any suggestions on who I should take?

Has anyone received an acceptance to another school but their first choice is UTA? Orientation for TWU's program is May 3rd and my advisor told me we could receive letters via email as late as early May...I wish all of the universities around here did the acceptance notices at the same time, that would make things much easier.

I do not have any suggestions for either of those classes. I tokk them at TCC...sorry... If I don't get in this app period I will be retaking my stat class at UTA. So let us know how you like your teacher!

I totally agree...It is very nerve racking thats for sure. I was told that would should know in April. Isn't it crap that everyone gives diff information! I hoep we know by the end of this month. I have a vacation planned on May 6th and would love to know before I leave! Congrats on getting into TWU BTW! Atleast you know your set no matter what!
