UMB Spring 2012

Good luck to all of US. I am so nervous and worried....and I never felt like about getting into a school. God willing, it will work out someday.

The wait takes forever, but they are just as eager to tell you as you are to find out.

That being said, when you guys find out I have books and gear to sell. After breezing thru and enjoying my pre-reqs I found that Nursing wasn't my thing, so I have a full set of barely used books for anyone in MoCo.

Oh, one last thing, if you are applying to Shady Grove be sure to apply to the site specific scholarships that can be found on the USG website (I'd link but I'm on a phone w/o cut and paste, so just google USG Rockville and browse the home page for the scholarship app, it takes 30 minutes to do and they have a lot of scholarships (a few of my classmates and I got 2,500 scholarships, but there are scholarships from 200-full tuition and fees).

Got my acceptance into Towson but still waiting to hear from UMSON...Dont know what I'll do if I get into both? What would you all choose? UMSON has the masters program that I want but Towson is cheaper and closer to home...decisions, decisions, decisions!! GOOD LUCK to everyone!!

Just got accepted by Towson as well for the Spring 2012 BSN program. They need a response by Nov. 11th, so I hope I hear from UMB before. UMB was my first choice, but Towson is closer so that's a hard call. Born A Sooner, is Towson really cheaper? I thought UMB was cheaper for some reason.

Towson's base tuition for one semester is $2,748 and UMSON is $3,648.50...so the difference isnt huge but it's enough to count. Plus Towson offers scholarships for PTK members transfering from a community college. Last I heard, UM was supossed to send out notifications the first week of Nov. I'd hate to waste $200 to hold a spot I dont take.
