Hello! I am in the process of applying for the spring 2012 semester at the Baltimore campus!! I didn't see any threads out there yet for people who are applying so I figured I'd start one :) Feel free to share gpa, TEAS scores, etc and any updates on admission!! GOOD luck to everyone!

Hi! I am applying for Spring 2012 admission, as well. I am really nervous! I took the TEAS IV awhile ago, but need to take the TEAS V for my backup school (Towson) so I will be taking that in about a week. I am just a little bit worried because even though my TEAS scores, recommendation letters, essays, etc. are all good, my grades from my sophomore year of college are not. Luckily, none of my sophomore year classes were nursing prerequisites and I have gotten all As and Bs in the classes that are, so I hope they don't focus too much on them! I still am above a 3.0 though, which I believe is the minimum GPA requirement. How are the rest of you doing? Have you submitted your application yet? Good luck!!
I am taking the TEAS V next week for the first time! I'm a little late in the game because I decided on applying about two weeks ago. I also have a gpa above a 3.0 and my since gpa is a 3.75 with 3 of the sciences already completed. I have to take 6 classes this semester though so I will be applying with alot of outstanding credits Hopefully that doesnt affect my application too much. Good luck everyone!!
I'm sure you'll be fine. If anything, they might just make your acceptance conditional in that you have to get a B or better in those last 6 classes. At least that is what happened to my friend who applied to UMB with a bunch of classes remaining.
I took TEAS IV because I heard it was easier than V, but hopefully the TEAS V won't be too bad. Good luck on it!
yeah i hope so!! I am so nervous! i have already accepted a seat in the spring program at the community college i attend but i realllly wanna go to umb! How was the teas iv? has anyone taken the teas v who can give some insight on the science section??

I, too, have applied to UMB for the Spring semester. My application has been in for a couple of weeks now- I hate to wait until the last minute!
I took the TEAS V back at the end of June. If anyone needs help studying for it, there are a couple of great stickies on the Pre-Nursing Students forum. I found a great deal of help there, studied my butt off, and managed to get a pretty darned good score. Everyone says the TEAS V is super difficult, but it isn't too horrible.
Good luck to everyone who is applying!
TEAS IV wasn't bad at all. I know UMB accepts it but I don't know if you can still take it - it might just be the TEAS V that's available.
Do you know how long the statement of goals and objectives should be? Mine is a little under 2 pages, but I don't know if it is supposed to be a page or less...
mine is about a page and half. I think a little under two pages would be acceptable. I haven't heard anything about a limit but i'm sure they don't want you to write too much!! I take the TEAS V tomorrow! Ready to get it over with !!
