UMB Spring 2012

Hello! I am in the process of applying for the spring 2012 semester at the Baltimore campus!! I didn't see any threads out there yet for people who are applying so I figured I'd start one :) Feel free to share gpa, TEAS scores, etc and any updates on admission!! GOOD luck to everyone!

Let the waiting begin! It is going to be soooo hard to not check my application status everyday, even though I know we won't hear anything until October. Wishing everyone luck and happy waiting!

My application status still says "requirements outstanding" even though everything is listed as received under requirements. Anyone else have the same thing listed under application status?

Nevermind -- I just called. They said they were waiting on my AP scores but none of my AP scores apply to my prerequisites haha so they changed the status

I was going to say to call because they're very pleasant, but you've already done that.

However, I would be careful about not submitting AP scores even if they don't apply to your prereqs... they ask that all AP scores and transcripts be submitted, no? I might be wrong about the AP scores, though.

Did anyone else get a few emails in the last few weeks updating them on what documents and paperwork still needed to be submitted?

Well the only AP credit I have is towards English, but I took two English courses at my college anyway that fulfill both English requirements. The lady on the phone said if the credit doesn't count towards my prerequisites, it's fine and I don't have to send them.

mine says requirements outstanding too!! But it does say that my TEAS score has not been received yet which would make sense since I just submitted my application on Tuesday. Hopefully my status will change soon though I don't enjoy looking at the requirements outstanding status :( It's going to be so hard to not keep checking!! I hope they get back to us by mid to late October, I don't think i could handle waiting until December!

hello, everyone

for the application, are the resume and the essay the same thing? or we have to submit both of them.? thanks a lot!

The resume and essay are separate things. You have to include both of them. The essay is a statement of why you want to be a nurse, what you want to do as a nurse, what has lead you to this point in your life- that sort of thing. Hope that helps!

Mine says the same thing! I don't have any peace of mind when I keep seeing that "requirements outstanding" status. When I called a few days ago, they told me that it just takes some time for them to sort through all the materials and update the system. They also said not to worry since emails and mail are date stamped. The office is closed for labor day weekend, so our statuses probably won't change until Tuesday at the earliest. I'm probably going to call in again and just make sure everything's ok because I didn't submit my app until this past Tuesday either. The website says to call if any of your supplemental materials arrived before your app, so you might want to call too and make sure they know that. Anyway, enjoy the long weekend! It's all we can do for now!

Are you sure it's not AP scores?? Because mine said "requirements outstanding" since I didn't send my AP scores (they didn't apply to my prerequisites). When I told the office that, they switched my status to "Complete and Ready for Review." Otherwise, maybe it's just taking a little long to sort everything out since they probably had a ton of applications come in last week. I'm sure you're fine so don't worry! I'd just call Tuesday to double check.

Thanks a lot, tippeny, you are really helpful.

I wouldn't worry about the "requirements outstanding" status for now. It took a few days for them to put my information in the computer… But I would call the office and make sure they have it. I'm sure they will be inundated with calls next week- but it wouldn't hurt to check to make sure they have received all of your paperwork. I called a few times to make sure they had received transcripts and they were always pleasant as can be on the phone...
