UIC Fall 2021 BSN Program

I submitted my app for UIC yesterday. I'm anxious for the result. So for anyone else who applied what is your GPA and your extracurricular activities? I'm a transfer student with a 3.2 GPA and I've worked at an animal hospital for 3 years.
I got denied last year due to my GPA so I'm just trying to figure out my chances, and where I can improve if I get denied again. ?

I'm still waiting to hear back from Illinois State University,

What about the UIC program in Springfield, Illinois? Same curriculum. lots of students who don't make it into UIC, do the same program in Springfield. Cost of living is cheaper too

How did your interviews go?? It’s gonna suck waiting a whole month to find out whether we got in or not

I am very happy after all. I focused more on being myself since they are looking for a certain characters.  It does suck to wait all this time just to know whether we’re in or out, but I’m pretty optimistic at this point ( and hopeful ?).

I think it went pretty well! I was super nervous waiting for my time slot to begin and then when I was actually in the interview it went by so fast like a blur. As neurodomi mentioned about focusing on yourself, I did that as well hahaha basically highlighting myself. Hopefully time flies by because I hate playing the waiting game ? but nothing else we can do. uic nursing is super competitive so I’m proud of everyone getting their interviews, we’re so close now!

I put down the Chicago campus as my first option, Champaign as my second, and Springfield as my third.

Since a lot of students apply to UIC I wanted a few backup plans and Illinois State is one of them and the other out of state schools I applied too.

I'm so grateful that we all had a great experience with the interviews! Now, we're in the hardest part of the application: the waiting game! I hope we all get in! All the best! ?

Best of luck to everyone here!! ☺️

Did anyone else get an email for UIC College of Nursing scholarships? It was due on the 7th. I did it and it was real simple. It asked what campus I'm going too. I put Chicago but what if I don't get in Chicago but Springfield instead? Can the scholarship be transferred to Springfield?

Springfield and Champaign were options, but I could only pick one.

I did fill the form for the scholarships as well but I’m really looking forward to the merit transfer scholarship / PTK member scholarship. I’m not sure  if the scholarship would transfer from one campus to another, but you should certainly reach out to the admission’s office and finances to find that out!

does anyone know when the acceptance letters are being sent out? I've been checking my email for the last couple of days already.

"Candidate interviews take place in late February or early March. Final decisions will be sent to applicants by mid-April"

Based off when people found out last year, I would assume the week of 12 - 16 of April.
