Apr 15, 20197 yr Hello All!I'm applying to UCLA's MECN program this year for Fall 2020. Who else is applying? I hope we can all support each other through this process. ? What are some of the questions you may have about the application process?
Jan 31, 20206 yr I haven't checked online for the status. I did get an email back on January 7 that said my application was complete; I had needed to submit updated transcripts for a prereq I took in the fall.In the same email, it said, "[y]ou should hear of your admissions status by the end of February." If you really want an idea when you'll hear back, there is probably threads from previous years and people posting when they got decisions.I know it can be nerve wracking waiting to hear, especially if it is your top choice, only choice, and what not. Have faith in what you have to offer, what you presented, and how you fit within their vision.
Feb 3, 20206 yr Just did some digging on previous years.. here's what I found:2019 heard on Feb 62018 heard Feb 282017 heard Feb 15
Feb 4, 20206 yr Hi guys! I emailed ******************* on 1/24 and he said we should hear back by late February.
Feb 4, 20206 yr Then, the end of the month will be good or bad news, depending on your point of view.

I have applied to 8 in total, and have heard from 4 so far. Two were acceptances from Columbia University (DNP) and the University of Pennsylvania (MSN). The other two were rejections from UC San Francisco (MSN) and the University of San Diego (MSN). How about you?
Feb 5, 20206 yr I applied to several different programs--ADN, BSN, and direct entry MSN. Got waitlist and later accepted into CSU East Bay spring 2020 cohort (BSN) and Johns Hopkins fall 2020 cohort. I gave up CSUEB for JHU. I also got rejected by the University of San Diego. My top choices for MSN are UCLA and JH. BSN was CSUEB or San Diego State. For the ADN were Solano Community and Napa Valley because they were the local schools. My top choice overall is JHU. I was able to get into the early decision pool. I've already gone to their Accepted Students Day, and it appears it will be a very good opportunity. I also got some scholarship money. The tuition is expensive. Unless UCLA offers a significant amount of scholarship/grant money, I'll stick with JHU. I'm actually excited I got into JHUFor the most part, my acceptances and rejections were what I was expecting. Although, I thought CSUEB got me a spot a month earlier than I expected. The funny part, it was through talking with ************ that I got the confidence to apply to both JHU and UCLA. Some schools, namely UC Davis, outright told me not to apply because my bachelor issue school transcripts did not show a cumulative GPA 3.0, not to bother applying; they would not consider any of my academic work prior to transferring. He gave me a realistic assessment and what I would need. I am not guaranteed a spot.

Feb 5, 20206 yr I got invited to attend the early opportunity day for WesternU entry MSN program, but ended up not going because I heard back from UC Davis the same day that I got accepted. Waiting for USF, UCLA, and UC Irvine.Which do you all think are the best programs?
