If it's alright to ask, how many of your cohort is still enrolled in the nursing program? I'm trying to not psych myself out before May ? Are you happy you chose UCF?

Thanks for clarifying about the emails! This gives me a bit of hope.

Has anyone been offered the Helene Fuld Scholarship yet?

After getting background checks and fingerprinting, does our advisor send us info about where to do the drug screening or does that come after background checks are accepted? I am a little worried about if I should just go do it myself or if I am to wait until they send us more info soon

Also, has anyone received the follow up email regarding the MoA after they RSVP'd? I got an email right after the invitation with the Castlebranch background/fingerprinting stuff, but haven't heard back since the RSVP. The way the email is worded, the drug test information is part of the MoA. They said it has to be signed and sent in by a specific date, so I want to make sure I don't miss any deadlines.

I haven’t received anything after I sent in my RSVP. Are you going to send another email just to make sure you did RSVP?

I emailed Charlenne and she said the rest of the information with the MoA and drug screening will come within the next few weeks!

I received the waitlist email, I RSVP'd but didn't hear back so I emailed twice with my RSVP and asking what my position was on the waitlist. Yesterday I received 2 emails, one saying they received my RSVP, and the other re-stating they received my RSVP and that they don't provide any info about position on the waitlist, however they encourage me to apply to a concurrent program as well.

Based on what I've read on previous message boards this sounds a lot like the dreaded "alternative options" email. Can anyone weigh in on what this might mean?

I didn't do the best on the TEAS test, only took it once and barely scored above the minimum requirement. I guess I wasn't aware of the importance placed on the TEAS score above other things like GPA. I also am an alumnus which I thought might help my chances. My Stats are:

Undergrad cumulative GPA: 3.75

Science Pre-Reqs- 4.0

Other Pre-Reqs- 3.8

TEAS: 78.7

Has anyone heard back from the waitlist? If so, what are your stats?

Does anyone know about a facebook group being made for this cohort? I know its a little early but I don't live on Orlando and really want to start figuring out where to live and potential roommates.

Congrats to all! I can't wait to meet everyone :)

Does anyone know if we are supposed to register for the general orientation if we were not previously UCF students?

Hi! I have been placed on the waitlist as well. When I first saw the email I RSVP my spot. I called the nursing office at UCF and asked if they were going to send out a follow up email regarding the RSVP, and she told me that she doesn't, but the lady in the front looked up my name and saw I RSVP to make sure I was on the list. On March 12th, I got an email saying "Thank you for the RSVP and that it has been received". I reply back saying thank you and haven't heard back. I didn't get an email regarding "Other options" yet... I hope this helps!!

I do not have facebook, but will also be moving back to Orlando and in need of roommates.

I went to UCF previously and the general orientation I'm 99% sure is for first-time-in-college students while the transfer orientation is for not-first-time-in-college-but-first-time-at-UCF students. I emailed for clarification on whether I need to go as someone who has previously attended UCF.

Congrats to everyone who got admitted, best of luck to those waitlisted, and hope to meet some of you at the meet and greet on April 5th!

*Edited to add this for any future applicants who may read this. I got accepted and my GPA stats were unimpressive: Overall of 3.34, PR Sci of 3.66, PR non-Sci of 3.71. I got a 96.7 on the TEAS. If your GPA is less than their 3.96 crazy insane averages, do not sleep on the TEAS! It is much more cost-effective to do well on the TEAS than to retake classes. As far as test prep, I just bought the "ATI TEAS study manual: TEAS 6 Study guide and Practice Test Questions" off Amazon and studied for approx 2 months from that (light-moderate studying--I also took a summer class and worked full time then). I highly recommend that book; it covered just enough but not too much. It comes with 2 practice tests, one that I took before I started studying to help me figure out what I needed to focus on and a second I took when I felt "ready" as a pre-test.
