TWU Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

thanks elizabelle! I emailed the prof and she said that they just finished up chapters 23 and 24 and to study the notes, chapter, and study manual carefully. Also, her "study guide" is posted.

ali523: for the fast track (summer 09) and the fall 2009 semesters, they did sent out emails of acceptance, and then 1 to 2 days later they got the letters of acceptance/denial. There were no emails of regret though, so if you didn't get one saying you got in, they they knew they were out. There is not a place on the portal account to see if you got in or not, but I'll be looking for a clue come end of this month!

thanks!

Hey girls, I did go to class today (although, some days I wonder why) and all we did was cover her notes on chpt 23 and 24. Nothing new for the test, exactly as she did last time. No little insight into what might be on it or anything, so study hard, that's my motto.

Thanks Butterfly Journey! I pretty much thought that would be the case. Good luck studying!

Sorry I'm late..but GPA is 3.91, and Hesi of 95. I'm applying for the weekend program..if I don't make it there, my second option is the spring 2010

great job plasma!

thanks butterfly for the info. Good luck studying.

Yeah, people being counted as two applicants is good news,so that number could possibily be lower!I really hope we find out something at the end of this month

I'm sorry to hear that.Yeah,I actually didn't realize that either until I went to TWU's information session back in July when the advisor said that.I would have been in the same boat, because I was taking Lifespan at the time and didn't even know I had to send it in before Sep 1st. I really hope you get into your second choice!

Hey guys -

I'm so excited right now...I was on the waiting list for my #2 (Collin County) and I just got the call that I'm in!

I feel so relieved that I will at least be starting nursing somewhere. But, I really want to know about TWU even more now...

Since everyone was sharing stats I'll share mine. I have a 4.16 GPA and an 83 on the HESI.

Congrats Rha_Hea, I know you must be a very Happy Girl right now!!:yeah:Great Job, Your hard work has paid off!!

Congrats Rha Hea!! That's great news!!!!
