I am pre-nursing student and I am finally done with both of my AP classes. I was wondering should I keep my AP book?

People may disagree with me, but I say if you need the cash go ahead and sell it. Our med surg text has a lot of A&P review in it - not as in depth as the actual A&P book but it was enough.

Keep the book. A lot of questions that students ask on the forums require a look in an A&P book. Just because a nursing text might have a quick anatomy review doesn't preclude having a look in another book with a different author's opinion and viewpoint on the same subject. Considering and reading these different viewpoints is part of your college experience. It is also how you learn to develop critical thinking skills--by weighing different opinions. One of the things you should be learning from your college experience is that consulting only one textbook is never enough. That is often why you'll see long bibliographies/references at the ends of the chapters of your textbooks. For fun, sometime, look up and read some of those references.
Thank you all for your input. It would be nice to get the money back, but I was thinking the AP book can be really beneficial to keep even if not going to nursing.

I sell everything! With the internet the things I have needed to refresh myself on I just googled a reputable source. My two cents. :)

I sold all my science books, and am doing very well without them. I still have all my type notes just incase I need to refer to somethings (I have not used). The Medical Surgical Nursing, Pharmacology, Fundamentals Nursing, Drug books and careplan book, I have more than enough information to carry me through without the A&P book. I even have a Patho written by an RN. If you need the money, sell them!

Ha, ha, ha... You never knew when you need them. I still have my old, trust ER medicine notes from 6 years ago and it is still relevant. Now, believe it or not, I am buying more books than I was a student.
Ahh, now I do not know what to do hehe. My company already reimbursed me for the book but I think I can still get about $100 for it. I will keep my notes, that's for sure.

I've used my book in nursing school. First used it when I was learning assessment. But it was really helpful for pathophysiology. You really have to know what's normal first, and I would review that book first.
I was all for selling my books back, but I thought about it and have generally held on to them. In my program, they keep on referring to earlier texts from other classes. For instance, I used my fundamentals textbook this past semester for both peds and maternal health papers.

Just finishing 1st semester NS and I've referenced my anatomy book a couple times and my physiology book many times. More useful than my anatomy text has been my atlas (I'm a Netter fan). Of the three, though, the only one which I consider crucial is the physiology book. It complements my patho book (Porth) very well.
I wouldn't sell it/them if I were you.
$100??!! No way would I keep that one. You could always buy an older used version from Amazon for a couple of bucks if you really think you will need it. Anatomy hasn't changed in a few years, lol. As for pathophysiology whatever text book you are using for your core class ie. MedSurg should have all that in it anyway.
I've been through LPN and now the RN program with mostly Bs and a few As and didn't keep anything except my medical dictionary from my pre-req days.
