I work with very nice Doctors but there are few who are rude, hasty, have bad bedside manners, you know the kind. Well this one I'll call Dr. Z
Dr. Z never has time for his patients, he rushes in and out of the patients room. I was in one of the patients rooms on Saturday and he came in and rushed back out as usual except that the patient asked him to please stay and explain his condition to his children, he said "no I don't have time". The patient handed him a note and said please put this in my chart. A few minutes later Dr. Z comes back in the room. Pulls up a chair, sits down and begins explaining everything to the patients grown children. He was in there 15-20 minutes. I was flabbergasted. Later, I said to the patient "well he sure did an about face, I would have never believed it". The patient laughed and said "it was the note I gave him that brought him back in". What did the note say?
" I talked to God today and he had time for me why don't you?"
Is that not just wonderful ! I think it's a great line! Wish I could of seen Dr.Z's face when he read it. I guess it means he does have a heart in there somewhere after all !

That is cool. Sad that it takes an act of God to get a doc to remember his humanity.

That was the most precious story I have heard in a while.
And, on that note, I will say my prayers and go to bed.
Goodnight All!!!

Wow, that was a very neat story and post. That must have given Dr. Z something to ponder about. :) Thanks for posting.

Very good quote! I guess the guilt kicked him in the shins.
Or in the "heart" as the case may be......he's a cardiologist !!!
