Perhaps he should get better at estimation.  Not sure how a 7,000 crowd could be mistaken for a 25,000 and that put out there as fact.  I think, just like when Trump said he had the largest inauguration crowd ever, it strokes his ego and his fan base.  In other words they lie, I mean "exaggerate" purposely and knowingly.  I don't believe it's just a one-time mistake.

Do you know for a fact it wasn't 25,000?

I've seen only one picture out on the web  (which is kinda odd). Definatelty not 25,000.  But who knows at what point it was taken. 

Reports are all over.  Including that many people didn't get in, and people saying law enforcement on scene telling people around 10,000.  Which would indicate CNN under exaggerated or lied with their 4000.

So maybe closer to 25,000 than being given credit for.  Or, maybe it's a purposeful lie...

It's just the same crowd size insecurities we watched unfold for the 2017 Trump inauguration. That was our first real introduction to Trump's need to inflate crowd sizes as evidence of his popularity.  Don't you remember that Team Trump was really concerned that people believe that Trump had a crowd bigger than Obama's inaugural crowd? Those features and symptoms of a mental illness don't magically go away.

Gosh, I don't know.  The guy with a well known history of inflating crowd sizes as well as lying about all manner of stuff is demonstrated to be inflating crowd size again but his supporters just can'tquite believe that's what happened. Most normal people expect liars to continue to lie but Trump supporters entertain the possibility or hope that this time he just got the estimate wrong unintentionally.  So many benefits of the doubt for a serial liar from people who can't give Biden a benefit of the doubt under any circumstance. It's an interesting phenomenon.  

Have you ever had to estimate a number of a thing in an image by doing a grid count.  Examining images that closely is a hobby for some and a job for others.  That's one way that people know when Trump is blowing smoke about these kind of things.  

There's no question that Trump wildly exaggerated about the crowd size and his voters don't care.  There's just the question of what unacceptable behavior won't Trump supporters excuse?

Try to overthrow the election you lied about - no problem

I'm glad that fact matter but no I don't know for a fact the exact number.

I've long been dismayed the last few years that the truth doesn't seem to matter to people.  That people don't stop to think whether something makes sense.  When it's proven false, it doesn't matter anyway.  

Even if the "reports are all over", most would agree, as you do, that the 25,000 number is an exaggeration, especially given their history of overstating his appeal.  That being said the number was notable because they only permitted for 3,500 and it was clearly more than that.  

Yes, numbers are all over the place.  Fox News said 25,000.  New York Post said eight to ten thousand.  A much circulated internet myth said 35,00.

Trump put on Truth Social:   "THIS WAS A BIG, IMPORTANT, AND EVEN STARTLING EVENT, AND YET MUCH OF THE LAMESTREAM NETWORK MEDIA REFUSED TO COVER IT," he wrote. "Gee, I wonder why?"

Which again is an exaggeration since most media covered it.  NBC saying it was his most diverse crowd ever.  There doesn't seem to be many overhead shots but the one I saw no where can even be exaggerated to 25,000. The whole event now is overshadowed by this exaggeration.

Yep.  Considering the real and perceived seriousness by some on these issues a weighed against having Joe and then likely Kamala in office, or any other Democrat that is on the horizon. it is a easy choice to pick Trump.

Of course, at other cherry picked times he's taken literally and out of context.   Like when he says he'll be a dictator for a day.  Or there's going to be a bloodbath.

But yet they get upset that Biden uses a teleprompter and reads "pause".  But I digress.

Which leads me to why did they have to pick him in the first place?  Given all of that garbage, how the heck is the the nominee with a good possibility to be President?  

Still, because Biden is left of center I understand why pretty much most conservatives are giving their vote to Trump.  They feel Biden is bad for the country.   Some of them just are old fashioned republicans and not MAGA people consumed by Trumpism.  But those consumed by Trumpism have decided the fate of our country.
