TGIF

This has been the longest week ever!!! I need Thanksgiving Break. Just heard the announcement "Please release Mr.__________________ 5th period class to the cafeteria. You guessed it, field trip I knew nothing about. And at this late hour, his problem and not mine!!!

And passes - I swear I want to kill these teachers. How hard is it to fill out a darn pass?? Especially when we are doing tardy freezes randomly this week.

Or they can complete a pass with every single box checked under symptoms with a diagnosis and treatment plan written and don't forget the frowny face!!! However, they cannot write the kid's name ant what time they left class.

Let me out now! Pukers everywhere!!! NONONONONONONONO!! This girl is NOT going to get sick!!

I had one in my office this morning who christened an ENTIRE hallway. He didn't know what to do so he just went back to class and didn't tell his teacher he threw up. Luckily, another kid saw him do it so I was able to track him down. I called mom and she instantly knew what I wanted. She said she has two other kids at home puking. Grrrrrrreat. Sounds highly contagious. I better not spend my weekend puking!

I got called for an emergency. Panic on the radio that there's a student having an asthma attack. I huffed and puffed across campus with my wheelchair to the classroom and I'm waiting to hear on the radio if an ambulance is needed on my way there. I get to the classroom and the kid is calmly sitting down. I'm talking to him and he pulls out his earbud and goes, "Wait, what?"....Pack him up in the wheelchair and he's texting on the way there. Hook him up to the nebulizer and mom arrives a few minutes later (School contacted her, not the kid). Kid is okay. Per my fitbit, my heart rate is finally okay. And I got my workout for the day. Geez.
