Which do you prefer? And where's the best place to order them? I know they are cheaper online than my college's bookstore, but I want a trusted site. Thanks!!

I like ebooks because you can search for stuff easily and still highlight things. It's also easy to put them on a portable device like an iPhone or iPad or any other portable device and read on the go. I would just do a search of the books you want with the search ebook. Sometimes amazon. Com has them.

I hate ebooks (it's hard for me to study off a screen) but I know a lot of people who use them get them off amazon or Barnes & noble.com
I have a kindle and a Mac but its hard to imagine not having my entire book with actual pages to study from. lol But I hear a lot of people like the ebooks so I might have to try one. Maybe for my sociology class I'm taking online next semester. Thanks!

I have an ebook for one of my humanties courses and HATE it! I wish I would have gotten the actual book. I just like having the book in my lap, highlighter in hand. Also, I not have to worry that someone is going to take my book if I leave it on the seat in my car or if I run out of power somewhere. I also find it hard to study off of a computer screen.

It depends on your study style! Some people can read online w/o writing down notes or highlighting... or they may keep notes in a separate book. I personally liked having a physical book with me... I liked writing in the book. Both have pros and cons. Physical books could be heavy but think about what's effective studying for you.

I have to read books of any kind in the physical form. It's just personal preference to be able to actually flip pages and stuff. Idk lol, I like real books.
Also, if you do buy real textbooks, get em from half.com instead of your college bookstore, usually MUCH cheaper, I've saved hundreds of dollars every year in college doing it that way.

I like physical textbooks because I love to highlight and tab important terms and practice problems. Amazon is where I bought my textbooks, and their prices are really reasonable.

I like physical textbooks and physical books. My eyes just cannot read long from the computer screen.
I know people that love renting e-books for their portable devices.
Some sites to consider: Amazon, ebay, half.com (an ebay company), bn.com (barnes and noble)

I recommend getting your text (Med-Surg, Pharm, Fundamentals) all in hardback form, but for the reference books such as the dictionary and pharm medication books, etc in e-books. Some e-books (CafeScript) are awful. They are hard to flip through and not a lot of use on my iPad. I have a Mac, and most things are compatible, but look into that as well.

I liked my ebooks a little during the class, they came with my micro & A&P books and it was nice to look stuff up while studying to find something quickly but now (over a year after taking the class) I tried to look up something in my micro ebook but I found out that the access code that was given is only good for a year! So now the access code that I HAD to purchase for about $80 on top of the price of the physical text is useless. I will never spend the money on an ebook unless the professor requires you to complete assignments/quizzes online with it (like my micro professor did). Bottom line. If you have a choice, don't buy only an ebook. I would only spend the money on it if it was required for the class. Had I only purchased the ebook copy I would be even more annoyed if I lost access after a year.

The ebooks were $400 cheaper. Only $200.... So I went with that. I don't love it but it works out fine. Books are heavy and I can study from the textbooks on my phone from anywhere now. The people who have iPads have it better but too spendy for me.
